Long Lines Form At Wisconsin Polling Places

Try to stay safe.

Thanks.

I’m praying that POS judge loses. That might put a bit of damper on their November plans - but not much of one, I’m sure.

I thought this was more to actually obtain an absentee ballot, for those who didn’t think a few weeks ago it would be necessary. At some point, though, we need to transition to online voting. It can be made close to 100% safe. If banks can do it, so can they, if they WANT to.

Those lines are not good news for the GOP, I suspect that there is going to be a GOP full court press at voter suppression in the coming months.

I’m hoping he more than loses, if you catch my drift.

This is not about Sanders nor is it about the Democratic primary.

This is about keeping a radical right wing hack on the State Supreme Court.
It’s about the SC election to a 10 year term.
The radical right GOP can’t keep on gerrymandering without their agents on the SC.

It’s gotta happen before the State can undo much of the Walker/Koch damage. We can get the referendum on gerrymandering passed, but if the court is still solidly conservative, they’ll find a reason to deny the result or even the commission itself at the behest of the GOP.

This is a stupid power move and Wisconsin is making the case for vote by mail in every state. We do it in WA and voter turn out has increased which is of course why Republicans hate it.

Watch them try to arrest anyone who shows up to vote or get a ballot, for not properly socially distancing, and forcing everyone to go home.

I’m pretty sure the media are all over this. Look at all the photos above. Hijinx will not ensue. Too much bright light on it.

The GOP demanded this; now, they have to live with the result.

I lived in WA for 10 years not that long ago and it was a great way to vote. You didn’t even need to actually mail it in if you were afraid it would get lost or stolen, and could hand it in yourself at various locations. Eventually, we need to move to secure online voting.

However, if people do get sick from this, the time lapse will allow them to say, ‘who knows how I got sick.’

Not saying it’ll work, but they’re desperate and pulling out all the stops.

Look in the article above to see a line of majority unmasked voters in heavily Republican Waukesha County.
The GOP is going to kill their own, too; but that’s OK because they’re counting on majority dead Democrats.

There are memes out there that ask the question, if you test positive, and the CDC were to ask you where you’ve been in the last ten days, would you proud of it?

I should think if one of those places was the voting booth, the answer would be yes.

Yup, I walk mine to a drop box which is right next to the branch library.

No surprise there. None at all.

On Tuesday morning, U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams urged Wisconsin voters to maintain a distance of six feet between each other and wear a cloth item over their faces.
“I say as a black man that I know that people have died for the right to vote,” Adams said during an interview on NBC’s “The Today Show” with Savannah Guthrie.

Don’t be coy, state it like it is: Republicans are forcing WI to risk death to vote.

From the state legislature to the Supreme Court, they refused to accept reasonable accommodations that numerous other states have used to safely hold elections during a pandemic.

This is really going to backfire on Republicans. Now that so many of the working poor have been laid off, they have time to vote for a change. Same goes for busy middle class muti-tasker Millennials and Gen X,Y and Z.

And when a lot of them get sick from standing in line and spread the virus throughout their communities, fiscal conservative Republicans will be forced to face the huge deficit they created by making so many suffer and die.

Limiting polling places to just a handful open in the entire state? Just how corrupt can the sainted Conservative Movement and GOP party publicize their desperation to win at least one more election in Wisconsin?

The November elections might bring out even more voters to protest. The harder Republicans try to suppress the vote the more they are encouraging it for all but their own Reagan Democrat senior voters who are afraid to go out of the house any longer because of Trump’s handling of this pandemic.

No, not the State, just the cities.

Milwaukee is a problem in that they’ve closed all but five polling places. There’s the problem.
