Wondering what the Anna Delvey of Capitol Hill Rep. George Santos (R-CA) has been up to the last few weeks – besides dodging reporters and claiming he knows nothing about those FEC filings? It seems he is trying to make the best out of the time he has in Congress.
What Santos needs is some floor votes in the House. With just a 5 critter margin, he’ll have plenty of colleagues speaking to him then, just like during the votes for Speaker.
I think the circle of attention needs to be widen beyond Santos. Again who willing is working as a staff member for this guy in DC and in NY?
We heard about George missing out on the WH reception for new members, supposedly because he didn’t want a background check, and to submit is SSN. He certainly had to fill in SSN on something to get his paychecks…
I would suggest a total abandonment of confronting George for at least 3 days, then we can see how he acts.
Just like Trump all this attention is feeding something he craves, attention. Turn off the camera lights for awhile, and wait to see what he does next.
Maybe even after that. Qevin’s vote margin right now is +9. If Santos rots in prison unable to vote, the margin drops to +8. If they expel him and a democrat wins the special election (likely), the margin drops to +7.
C’mon, journalists, inquiring minds want to know: Are those real (i.e., prescription) eyeglasses Santos is wearing, or are they fake (i.e., clear lenses) like everything else about him?
The old adage about Washington being Hollywood for ugly people applies here. Santos is like the weird outcast in school who didn’t fit into but for obvious reasons. What if he doesn’t show up, or occasionally does for votes but just goes clubbing in DC every night. It’s the Santos rave party.
