TruMPs WHiPs IT OUT to mAKE it clear THAT his EXECUTive PRiveldge is MUCH biGGER than cONGRESS subpoenas. BOOM!
I’m not sure there are full financials spelled out for anyone to see. Why would someone like Trump even have that? He’s a moron, but even he knows not to write some stuff down.
The 1-6 commission is a “partisan sham?”
No, that was Benghazi.
Amazing how political Karma always seems to come around at the very best moments.

The Taliban is in a bit of a bind. They want to stem the brain drain, but the economy of Afghanistan (such as it is) is essentially propped up with foreign aid and requires access to the international financial system in any event. Both those things have been shut off. Stemming the brain drain is going to piss off the entities that control their access to the things they need to run their nation-state (such as it is), and that will at best slow down the restoration of foreign aid and access to the international financial system.
Having a huge opium production is good for generating money to bribe local tribal leaders into not opposing you taking over power when the Yankee Devils leave, but it’s insufficient to run a country. The coalition that is the new Taliban is apparently pretty multifaceted (judging from all the contradictory statements that are coming out) and consequently its stability is questionable.
The problem Trump has is suing is that the records, I’m pretty sure, are public. They are housed in the government, whose head is Biden. My guess would be Biden’s people get to decide if the records are confidential and possibly if they are privileged.
Further, to sue, particularly if the suit isn’t likely to win, Trump needs to pay his lawyers, probably in advance. Unlike a business lawsuit where the cost of the suit can intimidate people into giving up, the gov’t has deep pockets. Further, if Trump wins, he gets no financial advantage.
I think you have hit upon something there.
There is no Trump anymore. There is only the personality disorder. Erase it, and you leave only a catatonic shell.
The bitch sounds scared.
Nick Payton Walsh hasn’t taken this tweet down. A possible election stunt?
Not to mention the abysmal level of education. I heard one account on the radio saying the US had needed to train Afghan troops in map-reading. Not to mention a literacy rate of 43%. It was 35% 5 years ago, which might be an estimate of male literacy, but my guess would be a higher percentage of the Taliban is illiterate and literacy rates are based on the percentage of people who can read and write simple statements — third grade level, perhaps. Usually, math goes hand-in-hand, so what the litaracy rate means is 43% of tge population has mastered second or third grade material.

Jesus Hieronymus Christ. I don’t want to wake up to that! Holy shit, TPM, have some fucking restraint.
Taliban apparently means students in Pashto. I guess studying the Koran isn’t much of a basis for forming a government. Maybe we should learn something about electing Fundagelicals from that…
Everything his accountants have.
Q + Evangelicals + “Wellness” Community = way more women.
ETA. Love the aria. Very bizarre shit here.
That’s why he’s got that Leadership PAC slush fund. There’s ample money to pay the professionals. That said, he has an incredibly poor case for obtaining injunctive relief.
The majority of Pashto speakers live in Pakistan, a country that harbored Bin Laden and the Taliban. Right now the “winners” from the collapse of the Afghan government are considered to be Pakistan and China, while the losers are the US, EU and other Nato countries, as well as Russia and Iran. Russia seemed to initially think it might have been on the winning side, but it has now evacuated its people as well from Afghanistan. China also seems to be concerned it may have gotten the booby prize. Only Pakistan is still running victory laps.
