Not to mention his Press Rules to curtail how much we actually find out about it.
Who is writing McCarthyâs material? Itâs offal. Heâs going to lose more seats this year and be out in 2022. He may not retain the minority leader post. Say hello to Vince Fong, his replacement!
I think that the House democrats should pick another group to âsimulcastâ the presentation with big notices that this is what the GOP doesnât want you to see. Canât be a rule against publishing the text of the managersâ presentations. Nor the sworn testimony.
I thought about that too. Part of me thinks he doesnât want the public to have a birdâs eye view of the trial from all angles (literally) because if it goes on for any length of time he wants it to be as difficult to watch and as boring as possible to turn off the viewers.
The other half of me thinks that he doesnât want tRump going on a rampage while the trial is underway, making the trial more injurious to the Repukes and a lot more difficult to control tRumpâs outbursts, that will not favor acquitting him without serious repercussions overall to the party and their hold on power.
tRump wants a TV show. McCrappy Majority McAsshole doesnât even want a trial. This is the best he currently can come up with to suppress any real proceedings from breaking through into the zeitgeist. MoscowMitch wants a real trial like he wants a spotlight on his own misdeeds and corruption working on behalf of a tRump associated Putin oligarch.
I just hope the Dems prosecuting this case will, in some way, go after those in the current Republican party that have contributed to tRumpâs crimes. I know thatâs a lot to ask, but it still seems particularly relevant in light of how many of tRumpâs defenders have had suspicious ties to Russia throughout this mess and have a lot to hide themselves.
ââAs I enter into the conversation, I do want to thank the distinguished gentleman from Georgia for his apology for his ridiculous remarks about me and House Democrats,ââ
Always just enough babypowder on her pimpslaps to leave a mark, but not enough for it to get on her impeccable clothing.
âAs I enter into the conversation, I do want to thank the distinguished gentleman from Georgia for his apology for his ridiculous remarks about me and House Democrats,â she said, holding eye contact with Collins. âThank you. We accept your apology, Mr. Collins.â
Annoying. Insect. Crushed.
YesâŚI think even a demagogic fool like Doug Collins can figure out she wasnât thanking him.
Oh well.
If IMPOTUS hasnât heard about them, he will tonight.
Imagine a woman in pink with a steely stare directed at you.
One of my long-time friends on FB posted this just moments ago.
While I appreciate the effort, I only want to hear what he has to say when heâs under oath. He can say anything in this venue (and I VERY much like Rachel, so donât misunderstand), so under oath is all I want to hear from him.
ETA: I donât want the defense to have any clue as to what heâs going to say in advance of the hearing. And if the Senate wonât hear him, the House should, no, must.
They need to hear from that goober Hyde as well. Forthwith.
Hell, I think these two guys alone constitute enough good reason to open another impeachment inquiry, no?
I do not know if itâs Nancy P.'s doing or not, but the title story photos of Nancy P. have her at a higher perch than us Low-Level NCOâs.
From a position of leadership.
Youâll get no argument from me on that.
She gave him âThat Look.â There will be so many moreâŚ
I just wish sheâd given him that infamous clap while âthankingâ him.
The SOTU is coming, my friend. Itâs coming.
Live dissemination. In this day and age-- it could be done production-wise-- and on-the-fly.

I notice she went out of her way to graciously recognize Collinsâs groveling apology after he got up to yammer about how the impeachment was political they just donât like Trump theyâre meanies blah blah blah. Clearly she wanted to remind everyone how seriously to take him.
Or she was just being nice, and only called his previous remarks âridiculousâ because weâre all friends now and can laugh about it together, water under the bridge no hard feelings. I certainly donât know, sitting here a hundred miles away.
And to think there were numerous posts complaining about Pelosiâs lack of action, incompetence, etc only a few short months ago. She has known what sheâs doing from the very beginning and knows how to achieve her ends with amazing subtlety. Her takedown of Collins probably stung more than you can imagine if youâre not from the South, where backhanded compliments are an art form.
Iâd like to say that Pelosi shows why women should run the world, but thatâs a topic for another forum.
