I don’t suppose there are any qualifications needed if it’s just to fill the vacancy for a few months tho there had to be better seat fillers available. But running for the 6 year term just seems delusional and hopefully voters will agree. But does her being named as replacement actually get her name on the ballot in November ? That seems beyond ludicrous and I think there would be other possible candidates howling about it

Darline Graham has made her career as a human resources specialist, helping people with disabilities find jobs. Laudible, She’s been doing that for many years.
Trump has propped up his political career by not giving a goddamn about people with disabilities–even making fun of them when it suited his pathological need for attention and applause. Oh, but there’s more…
Trump ended ADA protections against discrimination in health care. This year, he’s made involuntary commitment for mentally ill people a cause celebre. He’s also pushing to cut monthly federal benefits for disabled adults and poor seniors who live with family. And Trump pulled 11 pieces of guidance on regulations to provide access for disabled folks at places of business, including at hotels and stores. Reason? Those nasty regulations cost businesses money. Priorities!
Darline Graham has already dropped her married name of Nordone for political purposes. I predict she will prove herself to be so enamored of her newfound position of power that she won’t blink an eye about any of the actions Trump has taken to rollback hard won protections under the ADA. In fact, she may just be standing next to him as he signs orders to decimate protections for the very people she’s devoted her life to helping.

Tom Cotton doesn’t want you to think this is about Netanyahu. In fact, he’ll tell you himself: it isn’t. Responding to Zohran Mamdani’s threat to enforce the ICC’s arrest warrant if Netanyahu shows up in New York for the UN General Assembly, Cotton let the actual stakes slip — it’s not about protecting Israel’s prime minister, it’s about making sure that same warrant authority never gets pointed at Donald Trump, Pete Hegseth, or Marco Rubio somewhere down the line. Call it pre-emptive war criminal insurance.

The United States is not subject to the ICC because the United States never ratified that treaty at all. It is not a member of the ICC. So you cannot enforce this anymore than enforcing unpaid Canadian parking tickets in Poughkeepsie. There is debate about whether the ICC can claim jurisdiction over actions by non-member nationals committed inside the territory of member states.
Cotton did not let anything slip here. Both he and the mayor of New York are likely aware of these details, but they’re (apparently successfully) playing on ignorance for performative means.

Can the non-member nationals be arrested when outside the non-member territory? Why is Rubio so intent on dismantling the ICC if it can not be enforced within the non-member territories?

She can be a good Guardian Of Pedophiles and keep predators’ pecadillos private. She has also spent her life working with the blind and coordinating remote work for adults with severe disabilities, which helps too.
