Hard-right radio host Rush Limbaugh claimed on Monday that President Donald Trump, who had honored him with the Medal of Freedom earlier this month, personally told him to stand by the homophobic attacks he’d made against 2020 candidate Pete Buttigieg.
Die Limbaugh. The only thing he ever did that was good for America was get cancer. A cancer smart people avoid.

“I simply was engaging in political analysis that is politically incorrect as far as the left is concerned,” Limbaugh said.

So when Limbaugh croaks it’s ok not to apologize for pointing out all of the awfulness he’s inflicted on our democracy.
Showing how misunderstanding Trump is, he seems to have thought Limbaugh would have apologized. After decades of racism, misogyny, homophobia, and xenophobia, why would Trump ever think Limbaugh would start now?
Recipients of the Trump Presidential Medal of Freedom* never apologize for homophobic smears …
Or racist, misogynistic, bigoted, religion, gender-identity, or any other kind of smears or comments.
I’m sure if Rush discovered several people on his oncology team were gay he’d be just as abusive and mean-spirited with them as he is with Buttigieg.
I see that “don’t say bad things about the offensive prick who got cancer” episode of civility has totally flipped flush scumbaugh’s approach to life.
Well since he pulled the political correctness rug out from under all of this - The world will be a much better place once you aren’t in it anymore, Rush. And I’m so personally happy that I’m going to outlive you so I get to experience that goodness.
Knowing that karma is often a cruel trickster, don’t be surprised if Rush has some miraculous remission fall in his lap, enabling him to spew his venom for several more years.

I had been thinking that everyone around Trump was acting completely independently to benefit Trump, like truly devoted medieval ascetics undergoing great personal suffering for the glory of God.

So…the medal’s for homophobia? Why didn’t he say that? I would have loved to see the Republicans bobbing up for the standing ovation on that.

Never apologize for homophobic smears because you don’t want to confuse any Trump supporter who thinks saying homophobic shit is socially, morally, or ethically acceptable. Saying homophobic shit isn’t merely politically incorrect. It is just wrong. .
