A lot of things happened. Here are some of the things. This is TPM’s Morning Memo.

The New York Times has an important story out this morning on an unusual and ginormous donation by a conservative businessman to a new nonprofit group run by Leonard Leo, the co-chairman of the Federalist Society.

These drama queens go to war on the name of George Soros. We need to get half as mad at at least one of these snake handling billionaire craps.

They are destroying this country.

"The Times explored the series of transactions in which the electronics manufacturing mogul Barre Seid donated 100% of the stock of his company to Leo’s group right before the company was sold to an Irish conglomerate. "
… … … … … …
Generally when a company is sold the buyer gets the stock. In this case according to the quote above that didn’t happen. That’s really strange. Maybe I am missing something here which could easily happen because I am not a business mogul.

Once again, the documents were GOVERNMENT PROPERTY, and since TFG is no longer a government employee, he is not entitled to possess them. There’s no way that TFG is writing a memoir of his time running the country – and why would TFG need TOP SECRET documents in order to do it?

The fascist cult should learn a lesson from the Kansas vote, it should occur to them that Kansans have spoken and they want access to abortion and that their citizens should be accommodated.

Instead they’ll learn the lesson that democracy is a dangerous thing and must be restricted by the cult using any means possible. The cult can never allow its vision to be thwarted by the will of the people.

What twisted and oppressive anti-democratic theories will they conjure up to counter the will of the citizens? Stay tuned.

The- buyer got the stock, but the money went to the “nonprofit”. He donates the stock (gets his tax write off), sale goes through and nonprofit gets the money.

Barre Seid donated 100% of the stock of his company to Leo’s group right before the company was sold to an Irish conglomerate.
