That’s really rich… Leonard Leo going to now go after Liberals in the media. Let’s hope he falls flat on his face, because if he achieves his goals like he did with the Federal Judiciary system we’re screwed.

Using a front group to hide donors will bring them more shady donors, and will be effective.

But they still have to convince voters.

After FOX has been shown to be a bunch of liars, Leo wants to ‘crush liberal domination’ by lying to them? To bring back conservative ‘culture’? What is that?

What domination are they blabbering about? Here in AZ the GOP has had majorities in our legislature since 1969 so stop whining about “liberal dominance”. Is 54 years of majority not enough???

So, where’s the grift? You can’t have that many CEOs and assorted folks without there being some sort of cash grab. Example: you take Teneo campaign money, but you have to hire Teneo consultants at exorbitant rates, who kick back a portion to the mother ship.

That “Liberal Dominance” that Leo aims to crush = Democracy.

“Here’s how “the Left” works in America, according to Baehr.”
This part was brand new to me. Glad he Right-'splained it.
I’m sure they’re deadly serious, but to go with “four guys walk into a bar” is kind of weak.

Yes, private and confidential in its funding and activities, but with very public consequences.

This is the model going forward.

As their nameless, faceless donors continue to funnel unreported, unregulated and unlimited secret contributions to cut-out organizations that exist solely to baselessly and viciously attack and slander their opponents, they themselves enjoy anonymity as ‘private’ citizens.

Aside from his wealth what is gay Peter Theil trying to “conserve?”

It’s more fascist victimhood to declare all liberal media as “dominant.”

If they have to help a male member find a spouse…sounds more like a cult than an org trying to change our culture.

Aside from the dictatorial impulse of the group and all the people associated with it, and aside from the ludicrousness of the “Harvard Club luncheon” scenario, it’s also yet another case of pure psychological projection.

If they think they’re crushing liberal dominance, they are about 50 years too late. Ever since the setting up of right-wing influence mills in the 1970s, the Right has wired Washington, New York, and the major power nodes in this country to the point where it is the Right that currently predominates.

And this:

‘I’d love to do a documentary on that; it will be a major motion film.’

A motion film?

I guess when you’re surrounded by nothing but billionaires you become a bit isolated.

crush liberal dominance

Don’t be confused by their constant attempt to redefine liberalism. It was and always will be the Founding principle of United States.

Liberalism is honest information, everybody votes, the majority decides.

That’s what conservatives want to stop.

In marketing terms, it’s “repositioning”, making people think of something differently through deception.

To “confront” what he dubbed “woke capitalism,” Jonathan Bunch, a longtime Leo deputy and now Teneo board member, wrote that the group had brought together a coalition of Teneans “working with (or serving as) state attorneys general, state financial officers, state legislators, journalists, media executives and best-in-class public affairs professionals” to launch investigations, hold hearings, pull state investment funds and publish op-eds and news stories in response to so-called environmental, social and governance, or ESG, policies at the corporate level.

“Our members were in the rooms where it happened,” Bunch wrote.

A conservative group known for targeting “woke capitalism” has launched a multimillion-dollar campaign attacking BlackRock and its CEO Larry Fink for “weaponizing” retirement funds with its push for more ESG investments, which promote environmental, social and governance responsibility.

emphasis mine

At least we now know who exactly is coordinating these activities behind the scene among Republicans. Apparently, they are taking their marching orders from Teneo.

This is a very good opportunity for ‘following the money’. I think there is a high chance that some of the money going to this group is coming from foreign entities.

Sometimes I feel like there’s a certain sick genius of the Right in its endless attempt to “roll back” to the sparkling white, completely non-existent world of 1950s advertising.

I guess we can only counter it by out-lasting the couch-bound believers in that utopia. “Liberal dominance,” after all, is nothing but the continuation of time beyond their imaginary Golden Era.

That’s about it. We’re already living in a 2nd Gilded Age. These people are ascendant and we all better be very afraid. Almost under the radar are their attempts to sabotage or prevent prosecution by passing state laws that let them fire prosecutors who might upset their apple carts.
