Well on Mitt’s side, and to his credit he has lived, worked, and been elected in other states. Without looking it up I’m going to assume that 1) it was something in Lee’s parents’ parenting, and 2) has he ever lived, worked, and been elected anywhere outside of UT?

This is not about state’s rights. It’s VOTERS rights and those should be standardized.
The states can decide which machines they use…AS LONG AS THEY MEET NATIONAL STANDARDS.

It’s always amusing when the Qpublicans, those who screech and yell “buh my constitution” fail to recognize things that are entirely constitutional. Congress has and always had the authority to tell states how to hold federal elections.
From Article 1, Section 4:
“The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.”
If only they used their copy of the Constitution for something other than a pocket protector or prop, people like Sen. Lee might not say such stupid and unfounded things.
