This audit is going to result in further convincing Republican voters that elections are rigged against them, even by their own party. No matter what the outcome is, the GOP base is heavily invested in it somehow magically overturning the election. When that doesn’t happen, it’ll be further confirmation that the fix is in. I really don’t see how that helps them at all. It’s not even pretext for voter suppression laws anymore. The GOP is long past giving a damn about creating the thin veneer of justification for anything they do.
