A lawyer’s profanity-laden statement to TPM about alleged Capitol attack defendants being “short-bus people” has irredeemably biased the case against a co-defendant of the attorney’s clients, that co-defendant’s attorney told a judge this week.
I see the PC-ness run amok. Calling the QAnon Shaman a short-bus riding retard is not an insult, it’s a fair description.
The lawyers is trying to make a case for innocence of the defendant not being responsible for his acts due to extreme stupidity, which is frankly is obvious to anyone.
Well, it’s not going to be easy, but if the attitudes of my daughters compared with those of the kids when I went to school are any guide, the treatment will be much more respectful and compassionate.
So, the George Floyd video, posted on every outlet for over a year, didn’t unfairly taint the Chauvin trial, but a comment to TPM, with (all due respect, of course) an audience in D.C, maybe a thousandth as large, has unfairly tainted the ability for a fair trial?
I don’t want to get too legally in the weeds here, but gimme an f’ing break.
Can’t wait to see whether Mr. Giuliani’s defense strategy, or perhaps Mr. Trump’s, includes an insanity plea. Both have already invoked self-degradation, but they thought it was self-aggrandizement.
