Rep. Janel Brandtjen (R-WI) — the Republican chair of the Wisconsin Assembly’s elections committee — along with a veterans group and two others have filed a lawsuit to temporarily halt counting military ballots in Wisconsin until their authenticity can be verified.
Well the big liar Rump was against soldiers in every way that mattered, so what a surprise the Republicans are the party of suing to make sure soldiers’ votes don’t count.
Your honor, they caught me after I robbed a bank, but I was only demonstrating that it is easy for anyone, like illegal immigrants, to rob banks. So we are good, right?
Perhaps those in military have pledged their allegiance to the country not its former or even any future leader. Fuck you to servicemen and women who are doing what you’re not? Or are you simply trying to live up to your user name?
Bank robbers rob banks only because that’s where the money is. Perhaps the money should be moved to a Ben and Jerry’s factory and packaged as a mint flavored offering.
Do these morons honestly believe that the elections authorities are going to accept three ballots from the same person? Really?? They don’t understand how votes are counted.
I confess to feeling sympathy with un. I’m tired of the military being held up as paragons and having what seems to be the bulk of the armed services turn towards authoritarianism and evil regimes like Putin and 45*. My father served. I believe all vets deserve free and top quality health care. But I also believe that civilians do too.
What’s missing from this story is how a fraudulently requested ballot gets counted? If I can ask for a ballot with any name, registered voter or not, then does that ballot automatically get counted? I think not. That should be in the story.
I can’t help but note that former WI Supreme Court Justice Gableman is involved here, employed as he now is at Thomas More Society and representing Rep. Brandtjen. For those interested, the complaint is linked at Gateway Pundit dot com but I appreciate that folks here have a compunction about going there. I need to get back to the day job, but probably a better source will emerge.
NB none of this is to criticize TPM for not providing a link, their hands are presumably full and I see things getting worse
Ah yes, committing fraud to show how easy it is to commit fraud in order to punish all the people who weren’t even thinking about committing fraud. Brilliant! I see no holes in this.
