From a vantage south of Maryland and west of the Allegheny Mtns it doesn’t matter what words Cohen spews. His accent alone would make me want to slap him even if he was telling me what a great guy I was.
He wrote about idolizing the way wise guys speak and trying to imitate them. He sounds like a mobbed up wannabe.
UCLA picnickers and counterpicnickers in the news.
Disgusting
All the lame excuses were from TFG who was the one trying to put it off, not really from Cohen. His classic delay delay strategy, in this case until the election or just hoping something would change and getting him out of it, even something else canning his chances. Cohen being difficult was also just doing his job.
I didn’t see Craven on the list. Please add.
We’re going to find out that the “counterprotesters” are fox news watching republican operatives out to heighten the sense of crisis, to trigger the anti israel left to polarize things more, all to hurt Biden and help Trump. Nixon was great at this and it helped him win by a landslide in 72. Trumps people probably also have Russian trolls behind the scenes pouring online gasoline onto the fire. This is a campaign op, a Roger Stone special, mark my words
Isn’t this an actual election/witness tampering case that involves the highest office in the country? Doesn’t that make it kind of extra, very super important to discuss honestly and accurately? Words matter. Especially when discussing potential crimes such as election tampering.
Why is the media at large choosing to frame it as a hush money scheme? It softens the impact of his actual intention and success in tampering with our election and getting elected.
It feels somewhat intentionally inaccurate.
It’ll be interesting to see if Trump has his (current) lawyers in this case attempt to call character witnesses to attack Cohen’s credibility. If they can’t come up with a good reason why Cohen is “trying to get Trump” they’re going to have a hard time with the jury too.
It would help fight political corruption in the United States if he was convicted and incarcerated. I’m thinking that he might actually serve time here if all the piled up legal problems he is currently embroiled in have any weight at sentencing. It is true though that for a first time felony conviction in a case like this that time in prison seems unlikely under current sentencing practices. One does have to remember though that this isn’t just a one count trial…so there’s plenty of field to work with if he’s convicted of more than one count…if he’s convicted on multiple charges then things get much more dicier at sentencing.
Cohen knew what he was doing in the furtherance of Trump’s political ambitions. He lied multiple times, both publicly and criminally, to help Trump succeed politically. But Cohen also did this because Cohen had his own deals going on too. That almost assuredly will come up in this trial if the judge here allows it. Cohen spun the roulette wheel and he lost a substantial amount of his livelihood and reputation (such as it was) as a result. Cohen was not a good guy then and it wouldn’t be surprising if he’s not trying to cash in on his notoriety now.
Where are the Bundy’s now? Anyone know?
It’s also possible that Michael Cohen had a shittier client too?
He certainly has an interest in monetizing his own notoriety; his inability to practice law needs he needs something else if he doesn’t have the juice to just retire outright.
Do you regularly do this?
Sex sells.
Ben Stiller as Michael Cohen on SNL. A must see.
