President Donald Trump spent his weekend attacking Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) and his district in Baltimore for supposedly being a “disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess,” perhaps without realizing that his own son-in-law has contributed to those conditions.
It would scarcely be fair to hint that Kushner is responsible for the introduction of rats into the Baltimore ecosystem, but I’ll go ahead and do it anyway.
Obviously, Cummings personally brought the rats there because that’s what ‘those people’ do.
Kushner & co have a horrific history of malfeasance in their role as landlords. They are active creators of urban blight. I hope Baltimore’s housing department goes after his substandard housing with a big stick and a handful of subpoenas,
Not sure y’all are getting this. Kushner is a great big wealthy businessman. It’s his job to bring in development. With development comes rats and garbage and pollution and other environmental problems - it’s part of the deal, came with the package. Now, it’s the job of local, state and federal officials to clean up the mess development leaves behind - using taxes developers do not want to pay. Brother Cummings doesn’t get that, so Current Occupant had to school him on it. Why is erryybody so upset? /s
If only this whole rat infested Baltimore story would morph into Kushner being responsible for the rat problem. It’s not true, of course, but who cares, none of these people tell the truth, so…
Rats started coming over on the ships from the old world, so they’ve been here a long time.
What if Jared’s properties rats were trumPP property New York rats, wouldn’t that make them upscale BAL rats. Seriously folks, Kush has been acting like a slum landlord for years.
Wrong! Its the responsibility of the developer and/or subsequent property owner(s) to clean up and maintain the properties. Remember, Kushner’s holdings in Baltimore are rental units. And by the way, Jared’s reputation in Baltimore is that of a slum lord.
yesterday, when someone pointed to the New York Times articled referenced in Post piece, I looked up every development listed in the article – and then looked at every development in Maryland listed by Kushner’s management group.
And I couldn’t find a single one in Cummings district. Almost all of them were in MD-2 which is represented by Ruppersberger (D). Which to me seemed exceedingly odd, given how gerrrymandered that whole area is. In fact, I had to enter in the address, not just the zip code, in a whole bunch of cases, because there are a lot of zip codes in Baltimore and environs that are split between two districts.
