My uncle believes he can’t be racist because he’s married to a Chinese woman. Never mind the awful things I’ve heard him say about African-Americans and others.

I’m so tired of the, “I once knew a black man. I can’t be racist” excuse.

Police violence: nope, a few bad apples. Systemic racism: nope, a few bad apples. White supremacists in the military: nope, a few bad apples.

I think this explanation for everything gets so much traction because or their familiarity with bad apples. After all they’ve collected so many in the WH.
