Klobuchar Says She Withdrew From VP Consideration To Encourage Biden To Chose A WOC

Excellent decision I say!

I don’t disagree with her decision, but I think the George Floyd situation had already taken her out of the VP running. But nice that she’s going out on a high note.

Many people are saying that she withdrew because she wasn’t in the short list. Still it’s a good thing to do. I wish her well.

Yeah, okay, Karen.

Now that is an example of non-self-interested leadership. We had forgotten what it looked like.

Thank you, Senator Klobuchar.

Transparent Amy working on her reelection.

I’m a cornball, so there’s that, but I liked her presence on Lawrence’s show last nite…even when he slipped in the (“you got problems with police-related stuff in MN, yes?”) questions.

Her recovery was professional and passionate.

There’s a lot of things about Klobuchar that I like, but it’s just not her time.

Big of her. Should we call her Queen for a Day or queen-maker? I’m a bit too cynical today to give a shit. I didn’t want her to be chosen anyway. Its up to Biden. There seems to be a presumption on her part and I’m not sure she was seriously in the running except the media kept telling us she was. Just like I didn’t think she was in going to get the Presidential nomination when her poll numbers never ever showed she would, but a lot of folks still continued to think so.

Right, “her decision”. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

She,s an ally, it’s fair to give her the heads up so she can bow out.

Politically it’s good for Joe because now no one gas to worry he’ll be picking her.

It also is an article about Democrats for once, and not trump.b

I don’t know if Team Joe is vetting Susan Rice…Anyone know of this?

She’s low key and definitely not “I’m not a candidate” coy.

Pretty much expected.
I was really disappointed that CCM withdrew last month:

Yes, she’s one of the 6 (I think) on the short list.

Wowza!

“Make sure I win,” Trump allegedly told CCP Chairman Xi during a dinner at the G20 conference in Osaka, Japan last summer. “I will probably win anyway, so don’t hurt my farms.… Buy a lot of soybeans and wheat and make sure we win.”

Hey, TPM, how about a quick verb tense edit on the headline word…”chose”…really?

I like her too, but she’s a little bit too white bread for my tastes…and the times we live in. Her decision has come on the heels of this article which didn’t bode well for her as a VP pick.

She has been my top choice for VP all along, but I do not know how seriously she has been looked at. Fabulous foreign policy experience, WH experience, has worked with Joe, and draws no Dems out of current office.

Who is Amy Klobuchar to act like she is being magnanimous about race?

Truth is she was forced out of running based on her own prosecutorial record in MN which was revisited post- Floyd killing.

Klobuchar record was as bad as current DA who failed to arrest ChauvIn for days.

Klobuchar did not indict nor prosecute one police officer during her tenure that’s why she had to withdraw. It was a terrible record of her kicking the can down the road to grand jury. Then hiding behind that being common practice as if she was just “following the crowd” when it came to prosecuting police. And that doesn’t even touch how she prosecuted a young black male barely twenty & sent him to prison for life without DNA, NoPrints & no evidence.

It is her record on race & police brutality that FORCED her out of running for VP.

She needs to quit trying to act like she is benevolently anointing woman of color as VP On ticket.

Ugh!

If the rumors are true about her management style, she’d run the White House like a sergeant-major.
