Kinzinger Says Jan. 6 Committee Has A ‘Powerful And Substantive Narrative’ Ready To Go

Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), who serves on the Jan. 6 committee, on Sunday expressed confidence in the panel’s progress thus far in its investigation of the events surrounding the deadly Capitol insurrection.

Kinzinger added that knowing that information would offer insight into whether Trump was “absolutely incompetent or a coward”

How about both, Mr. Kinzinger? Definitely both.

Waiting very impatiently for that criminal indictment to drop into trump’s lap.
Just do not tell me he is innocent.

“Whether” seems to be one of the magic words.

So, Rep. Kinzinger isn’t time to bring the hammer down hard?

“We KNOW he’s guilty…we just want him to beat it on “whether” (or anything else) and skate on this. Then we’re good…”

Trump is very good at shielding himself, but the Raffensperger phone call was quite direct. He demanded that Raffensperger commit fraud to make himself the winner.

The Committee is doing great work, but it is a political body, not a criminal investigation. It can refer charges to Garland’s DOJ, but what will he do? He has done nothing yet one year on, no grand juries, no former Trump people called for testimony by the DOJ.

It has become clear he does not have the will to go after the conspirators who planned and fomented the attack, only the ‘cannon fodder’, Merrick Garland said this in his speech this last week:

"… tragedies ranging from the Oklahoma City bombing to the January 6th attack on the Capitol."

The attack on the Capitol was not the action of a “!one madman” like OKC. Or 10,000 lone madmen. It did not come out of nowhere, like truck bomber McVeigh. It was a criminal conspiracy, planned, funded, scheduled, organized and supported in advance and in the open by fist bumping, combat demanding members of the Republican Party, led by Trump. It was executed as intended to the gloating self satisfaction of the president.

If some of them are not put on trial for 1/6 conspiracy, they, and Trump, will once again command their militant followers to “stand back and stand by”.

What did the president know and when did he know it.
Sounds kinda familiar if one thinks back to Watergate

“Or did he know what was coming? And I think that’s a difference between incompetence with your oath and possibly criminal. That’s where I want to get more information,” Kinzinger said. “We do have obviously some things leading up to that, but the more information we can get, obviously the better.”

The Committee is closing in.

Kinzinger is continuing psy-ops that signals they know the extent of Trump’s foreknowledge and culpability and they can nail his sorry ass.

The pain in Mar A Lago is real tonight.

If Garland has created a grand jury we may not necessarily know about it. I hope he has. I hope he indicts trump
For that matter I hope the state of New York indicts him as well.

I’d add, ‘…and criminally liable.’ Nothing about the first two cancels the last so, to me, it looks like Donnie hit the the trifecta.

I wouldn’t wanna be around trump right now… except to be a fly on the wall watching him suffer.

True, but not a lot of competition in the GQP House in that arena…

Kinzinger added that knowing that information would offer insight into whether Trump was “absolutely incompetent or a coward” on Jan. 6, 2021 when he didn’t demand for his supporters to stop the attack on the Capitol.

“Or did he know what was coming? And I think that’s a difference between incompetence with your oath and possibly criminal.

Oh, he knows already. He knows the answer to that question. This is a signal to Pence and others that with or without your testimony, we’ve got the goods. You may want to come in and give us your side before we refer the whole thing to DoJ and put out an interim report.
