Kinzinger Rips Fellow GOPers Who Invoked Nazi-Era Imagery To Pan Biden Vaccination Push | Talking Points Memo

“And it’s going to get Americans killed. Our party has been hijacked. My party has been hijacked,” Kinzinger said. “It is on its way to the ground.”

On its way…?

The GOP’s sunk so low, it’d have to look up to see bottom.

He just means Kevin knows for sure he must fail to recall what was said when he’s asked under oath. Serving in TFG’s administration made better folks than Kevin suffer memory loss that would kill normal folks.

Who can ever forget how Hitler lovingly cared for the Jews by ensuring each person received a vaccine in their own homes against a deadly vaccine?

Wait…that didn’t happen? I guess my trip to the Holocaust Museum didn’t take. Next time, I’ll go past the gift shop.

I’m easy. I’d settle for people operating in good faith.

Kinzinger is sort-of saying some of the right things on covid and the ultra viles like Green and Boebert. This is all very easy stuff.

Kinzinger, however, will not denounce the daily assholery of his not-entirely-crazy Republican colleagues. And he’s playing games. He’s a sly one:

““Now, what President Biden said — and maybe he could have said it slightly different — is, we’re willing to come to your house to give you the vaccine.”

See that he is a sly asshole?

Except there was at least one other person in on that call, was there not? I don’t know if it will be more fun to have her to testify before or after Kev.

If they’re not they don’t deserve him.

Is just like what the Nazis do

Well, they did give some of them shots, but usually it was phenol. In the heart.

This is why Kinzinger deserves only the minimum respect. He never noticed all the shit Trump did before November 3, 2020? The politicization of COVID, the lying, the pussy grabbing, the corruption, the treason?

Kinzinger has come around since November 3rd, but damn, being not quite as stupid or evil as most trumpanzees is a very low bar.

Come on. He’s putting his future in politics on the line by doing this. How often have you sacrificed your own career with a lot of death threats on top to do what’s right? It’s easier to sneer than it is to do what he’s doing.

If the vaccines would finally be certified completely, not just under Emergency Use Authorization, employers could require them. Until then, they’re technically still experimental, and you can’t make people take them.

The FDA needs to get off their duff and certify these things.

Sorry; my comments stand. I didn’t say he deserves no respect, just minimal. He’s basically being a grownup.

Lots of other folks are getting death threats, too. Fauci, for example. And it didn’t take until after the election for him to get on the right side.

To refuse to get a shot that can save one’s life is not patriotism, or “freedom”.
The virus has no politics because it hasn’t got any (as in not one) neurons with which to think. No brain means no politics.
trump got vaccinated. He did it in secret. He is a coward. But we know this…
To get a shot means one can live
Wearing a mask isn’t political. It’s called being a good neighbor.
None of these are difficult concepts.
To not get vaccinated means one is willing to risk not just one life but all lives in one’s community.

sending people door-to-door trying to get more people

Then they came for the Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses, and I did not speak out.

My party has been hijacked,

No, your party willingly surrendered to the Tea Party for political expediency (See: slope, slippery).

My comments stand too. I’m not framing it as a more-respect-less-respect thing. I’m saying it’s a more difficult position to take than many acknowledge who’ve never done anything of the type. There’s no moral safety net that helps you pay the mortgage and keep contributing to the kids’ college fund if you just throw it all away because other people in your party are douches and cowards. For a lot of people it takes somewhere between a very long time and never to come back from a sacrifice like that. If you can’t plausibly retire like Flake or Corker, say, it’s a pretty big step with no guarantee you can take care of your family afterward. I’ve never heard anyone prove to me that’s not true.

Wouldn’t it be ironic if he loses his IL seat in redistricting? I guess it would spare him the frustration of being tossed by his trumpy constituents. And then where is he? As an actual current holder of elective office willing to call out his GOP colleagues, he’s a novelty. For now. As just another exiled has-been he’ll go to the back of the cable-tv line, with no constituency in either party.
So what’s your play bro?

Yet, he happily voted for Trump. Twice. He’s not the voice of reason the beltway media wishes he was.
