Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), who serves on the Jan. 6 Select Committee, on Sunday said that the panel “fully” expects Rudy Giuliani to comply with its subpoena. Kinzinger’s remarks come a day after the New York Times reported that Giuliani is in talks with the committee to testify.
Rudy is well aware that Trump abandoned him a long time ago. If there was ever a time for Rudy to rehabilitate himself it would be to spill the beans on his so-called client. I will believe it if it happens but it is an interesting development.
This should be done behind closed doors and under oath. If he wants to take the 5th, let him. I’m sure he’ll say something just because he can’t seem to help himself. Ask him a question, let him answer, then bring out the other evidence they likely already have and ask him it again. Good times!
Bring out a pitcher of bloody marys, pass it around the room such that every questioner has a glass and ghoulsie gets nothing. He’ll crack in 30 minutes.
Possibly, but he’ll need an airtight immunity deal if he has criminal exposure for a conspiracy charge. Otherwise he’ll just plead the 5th to every question. Will the committee go that far?
Rudy has what my mother used to call diarrhea of the mouth. If he sits down for questions, of course he’ll talk…and talk…and talk. The real issue is: will any of it be comprehensible?
