Mitch doesn’t have the power to stop judicial nominations right now and anyone who thinks he won’t renege the moment he does is a complete moron. So why make this deal when you know it is going to infuriate your base in the wake of Dobbs?

Off topic, but we need more female leaders like Justice Brown Jackson and Nikki Fried.

ETA: Please watch and help distribute her new ad. It’s powerful. And please contribute to her campaign if you’re in a position to do so.

“Jackson took the two required oaths on Thursday, with Chief Justice John Roberts administering the constitutional oath…”

“…and the now-mandatory pregnancy test.”

At least Roberts got the oath right this time.

Shedding a few tears here.

Women have overcome greater obstacles than presented by these bozos. I watched an interview on O’Donnell’s show with Stacey Abrams’ campaign manager.

I was highly impressed.

Would absolutely love to see Gov. Abrams in Georgia and Gov. Fried in Florida.

Welcome to the Supreme Court, it would have been nice to have met you in other circumstances Justice Irrelevance.

Along with Inmate Trump in Georgia and Inmate DeSantis in Florida.

Tom Petty’s estate also approved this message.

This is from a couple weeks ago. There may have been something more recent but I haven’t seen it.

Watched a clip of the swearing-in and was struck by the part about defending against enemies abroad or domestic. Maybe need to add a bit about enemies in SCOTUS chambers.

KY Democrat Yarmuth is yammering about this. Doesn’t make it true or likely to happen.

What’s so hard about just wishing Justice Jackson well and not get into calling her irrelevant. It’s a historic appointment on so many levels and it’s too bad you don’t understand that.

Kentucky is where Meredith is from and big in R circles. Maybe that’s why he’s the one ‘yammering’ about it. Or maybe, “Yarmuth’s office told Insider that the White House had informed him of the nomination.”

Because sadly Justices Jackson, Montemayor and Kagan, no matter their qualifications and character will have absolutely no influence in the Supreme Court direction (thanks to RBG). But I guess I could say, “Welcome aboard Justice Jackson, if wish you the best, I am sure you will be writing real ass-kicking dissents.”

Joe’s heard the rumors and read the coverage about Dems not wanting him to run again, so he’s going to make it happen.

Or maybe Insider doesn’t know what they’re talking about.
