Kenosha Shop Owner Was Replaced In Trump’s Damage Tour After Declining To Be Featured | Talking Points Memo

A Kenosha business owner rebuked President Donald Trump for appearing to use his leveled shop for political gain after he refused to participate in the President’s tour of the city’s damage and was later replaced by a man who was misrepresented as the shop’s current owner.

It’s a pattern of subterfuge and lying.

Biden campaign wants pro-Trump ad on FRACKING removed in battleground PA, telling TV stations it "makes up a policy, ascribes it to Vice President Biden, and then says the nonexistent policy will result in job losses of 30 times more people than actually work in the industry.”

I’m just surprised Trump didn’t get a stand-in “Blake family” to console as well.

And there’s this. I’m sure there are plausible explanations.

Please tell me this is a joke

Of course. Why not abuse every part of government for potential political gain?

It’s why they don’t want to give oral briefings to Congress. Congressmembers can’t ask questions in real time. The air is redolent of Fascism.

Biden made it completely clear in the speech. Any other representation is a lie and needs to be called out. Relentlessly.

That is my base assumption when parsing any statement from 45 or his campaign.

Well, articles like this aren’t going to help them. People leak stuff.

I believe he does’t want any new fracking start ups, but existing operations can continue. I wish he’d ban it btw, but that would be politically untenable at this juncture.

So the Blake family was right. Given the visit made up a story about the camera shop owner, this was nothing but a photo op and a sound bite.

There was no compassion there. No caring. Just needed to make Trump’s point that Biden’s America will bring more of this, while ignoring the fact that Trump is still President and it’s happening on Trump’s watch.

This point needs to be hammered relentlessly over the next week. This is THE story just now and it shouldn’t be swept under the rug or ignored.

Kenosha is probably fortunate that the campaign didn’t actually destroy buildings so they could blame it on the protesters.
After weeks of attributing policies and actions to Biden that aren’t his, the campaign needs to turn this into an advantage by calling them out. This sounds like a job for Kamala. The key word is “afraid” as in “Donald Trump is afraid for you to realize what he has been doing.”

Who says they didn’t? We don’t know who set the fires.

As we all understand, so called reality-tv (where Dipshit trained for this job) is many things, but being “real” ain’t one of them. Do we think the Apprentice was actually taking place in in a “Board room”? This was just a clip from “The Real Shop Owners of Kinosha”.
Fake America Great(ly).

Good point. I was kind of visualizing Trump in a firefighter’s hat and coat, standing next to a firefighter manning a hose. He wouldn’t be able to handle the hose himself, but they would love to imply it.

Now that Trump is tweeting about not having mini-stokes…
Are we sure that there is no Trump stand-in now?

This is going to be happening every day going forward in one form or another. What’s less clear is whether it will be reported widely every time and whether it will just wear everyone out. The next two months are gonna be awful.

Trump trumps truth…

Yet again…
