Folks in Massachusetts, NY and elsewhere are somewhat insulated from the decisions consequences but could have been motivated by a plan to do something about it, like reforming the court.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) insisted during an interview on “The View” yesterday that not only is it fine by him that Trump called his wife, Heidi Cruz, ugly in public–it’s also fine by Heidi, who “laughed” when it happened.
If true, I finally understand why she married him. She’s just as maladjusted, attention-seeking, and power-hungry as he is. I doubt that it’s true though. What woman or man wants to be called ugly and laughed at on the national stage? This just further proves that Ted Cruz is a massive piece of shit.
In recent years, that same guy was arrested protesting an event held in nearby Hollywood Florida.
The event was held to support the renaming of city streets that were originally named after Confederate generals. He showed up in a League of the South t-shirt and carrying a Confederate flag on a pole.
He started screaming at people, calling them communists, and lunged at them with the flagpole before police wrestled him to the ground and cuffed him.
When you put ideologues in charge of a university, you get places like Hillsdale, Oral Roberts, and “Liberty” University. And as for UT getting rid of tenure – I’m sure the alumni will REJOICE in their alma mater no longer being considered a “Public Ivy”.
Some legal analysts think this is a variation on Thomas’s handling of Trump’s request for an emergency stay of the 11th circuit decision in the MAL documents case. He could be referring Graham’s filing to the whole court, or asking for a response, as he did before ruling against Trump. This just gives him cover for a ruling that is obviously contentious.
Not saying he shouldn’t recuse, but if he (with or without the rest of the court) gets to the right answer and denies, perhaps we live to fight another day.
She’s a perfectly normal-looking, reasonably attractive person. Trump is an idiot about women’s looks, to begin with, the same way he’s an idiot about everything else, and I don’t feel called upon to declare Ted Cruz’s wife “ugly” because she married Ted Cruz.
I truly hope this makes a difference with the Florida voters, but I’m pretty sure most of Florida applauds the actions this man has taken.
F’rinstance - where are the protests at the Governor’s mansion against these actions? Where’s the outcry? Where’re the ‘this is not us, Florida’ statements by anyone?
