“On Friday, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) threatened Kemp with a primary challenger in 2022 if he does not select Collins for the soon-to-be-open Senate seat.”

Okay - help me out. Are we calling this extortion, or a ‘quid pro quo’?

“…the President reportedly brought up concerns that Loeffler is not experienced enough in politics to receive the appointment.”

Remind me again, Trump’s previous political experience was what exactly?

He is not for re-election until 2022, chances are that Trump is going a distant embarrassing memory by then.

You will see that within months of Trump being out of office, you will ha ve a hard time finding someone admitting voting for him. All the Fascist supporters in Italy disappeared overnight.

I don’t see how the people of Georgia benefit in either case. Might as well chose between a cup of bad coffee or a glass of skunky beer. Bad taste in your mouth either way.

They’ll just switch their allegiance to Donald Junior. He’s just as odious and would fill the vacuum that is the hole in their souls quite nicely.

which goes against Trump’s preference for Kemp to choose Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA) — a staunch ally to the President and ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee.

No wonder collins is out here slurping some good ole trump loving fantasia remedies for the gop circus coming to a country we live in. lol.

In Georgia, temporary appointments are filled by the voters in the next scheduled election. So this seat will come up for election in 2020 and then again in 2022.
