Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) announced Monday that he would allow a tranche of business to open up by week’s end across a state that has been particularly hard-hit by COVID-19.
Georgia has a total of almost 19,000 cases and almost 800 new cases today. So, no worries gov., you’re in great shape, open everything up and when the cases escalate you just won’t understand what could have possibly happened. Idiots!
I am a Georgian. When on April 2nd Governor Kemp announced that he had just learned that corona can be spread by people who show no symptoms, I lost all faith in his leadership:
He has given us no reason since to trust his judgment.
People can call every business that opens and let them know customers will not be coming in no matter what the sadistic governor wants. What’s really going on here is people in public service jobs might be forced back or be fired entirely, thus essentially dooming them for the political whims of GOP asswipes.
My son who knows everyone in his town called me while I was in my car doing a crossword puzzle. He said that the local barbers were at his house doing their thing. I rushed over and got a haircut outdoors. I held a mask to my face and the barber wore covering gloves as my grandchildren watched and laughed. Good stuff. People adjust.
