Finally got some rain here in Central WI.
Not enough to save the crops, maybe…but for the first time in 60 days I haven’t had to hand water my garden and new trees, etc. It was like a part-time job.

What I love is the MAGA morons are going to impeach Merritt Garland for interferring in the investigation of Hunter Biden. Maybe they should impeach the President who appointed the US Attorney handling that investigation? Wouldn’t that be Donald Trump? Three is a charm.
Truthfully the weaponizing the government committee is running out of phony scandals to gin up the far right base.

“If the indictment of Mr. Trump on Espionage Act charges — not to mention his now almost certain indictment for conspiring to obstruct Congress from certifying Mr. Biden as the president on Jan. 6 — fails to shake the Republican Party from its moribund political senses, then it is beyond saving itself. Nor ought it be saved.”

I hope Jack Smith moves fast. It’s not his fault that Garland, DOJ/FBI hesitated for over a year before putting a probe of the Jan 6 principals on the front burner. However, he has control of the clock now. He has a strong team; he has won the early battles in court; and he has to bring a case in 2023 on J6 against Trump for it to stick and be effective.

Probably Nevada ones. Two of them were recently spotted entering a DC courthouse, and there’s no normal reason for a couple NV GOP mooks to be doing that.

I’m not sure this reaches even the level of “pipe dream” when there is no smoke at all. It’s a bigger joke than the Biden impeachment ‘attempt’, for lack of a better word. And it’s being played on the Maga base who elected these clowns in Congress.

What is going on with the house Republians is they were successful in their attacks on Hillary Clinton. What they forget is Hillary Clinton was a singuarly devisive candiate. A lot of people didn’t like her or her husband. That included a lot of independents. Most of all the DOJ including the FBI director James Comey were loyal Republicans who didn’t want Clinton to win. On top of that neither did the New York Times or the Washington Post. The Republicans didn’t have to put up much to swing Hillary Clinton. Donald Trump on the other hand is singularly hated by government insiders. House Republicans just can’t understand that the world has changed. They are the ones who look like fools.
