Gov. Glenn Youngkin implied Sen. Louise Lucas was a ‘roadblock’ for stadium plans. Lucas is fine with that. (msn.com)
Lucas briefly spoke to reporters after Youngkin’s remarks, saying she was fine being described as a roadblock.
“The reason why it’s necessary is because I do not believe we ought to put the full faith and credit of the commonwealth behind a project that’s going to further enrich billionaires,” she said. “If they want this project, (they can) pay for it themselves.”
Lucas said it was her prerogative as chair to stand firm.
“When I feel strongly that what I am doing is in the best interest of the voters of the commonwealth, I am going to put 10 toes down,” she said.

Since the very earliest days of the blogosphere, we Liberals have spilled tens of millions of pixels debunking the Big Lie of Both Sides Do It, week in and week out, year in and year out, decade in and decade out. And we have actually made some progress, so “Yay!” for us.
And yet, when cornered, what is still the first tool the worst people always reach for?
