Kari Lake And Her Lawyers Try To Fend Off Sanctions For Their ‘Misuse Of The Courts’

Lawyers for unsuccessful gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, who have made their name in the cottage industry of seeking to overturn elections for MAGA candidates, are now trying to bat back sanctions after their latest court loss.

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://talkingpointsmemo.com/?p=1443330

Kari Lake is a sociopath, thirsty for power. She is toxic, like her idol Donnie.

I hope she winds up living under a bridge. She deserves it a fuck of a lot more than unhoused people do.

“Plaintiff has a First Amendment right to voice her opinions,” Lake’s lawyers countered.

But not to tie up the court’s docket or to cost others legal fees.

Lake’s lawyers maintain that they did present proof, if not enough to sway the court’s mind, and dubiously claim that they demonstrated that there were a specific number of illegal votes that eclipsed the 17,000-plus vote margin between Hobbs and Lake.

And how did they address the fact that Kimberly Yee, a moderate, sane Republican (!?!?) got 120,000 more votes than Lake on the same ballot? Yeah, they didn’t mention that.

Posted on another thread earlier, but bears repeating:

Because it might abridge her life?

I firmly believe all of this is just a massive mating display to convince TFG to pick her as his VP candidate.

So she’ll continue her losing by hitching herself to the biggest loser and pre-losing by not getting past the primaries?

She could cinch that if she alleged Chinese space lasers caused the pandemic.

This morning on my local NPR station here in Tucson I heard Ms Lake’s side hasta fork over $700,000+ in costs and sanctions.

Lying gets expensive.

Minnesota bridges want nothing to do with Keri Lake. Let her find a bridge to live under in Wisconsin.

Russian rich guys are dropping like sprayed flies… prettysoon Putin won’t have any “Yes Men” left.

CNN —

Russian sausage magnate-turned-lawmaker Pavel Antov died in India on Saturday after falling from the third floor of his hotel, according to the Indian police.

Antov’s death came after his friend and travel companion Vladimir Budanov died of a heart attack on Antov’s 65th birthday, two days earlier, Vivekanand Sharma, a senior police official in India’s northeastern Odisha state, said Tuesday.

Unfortunately she has the kind of polished-while-lying media skills that could land her a job at Fox News or Newsmax. I doubt she’ll be out of that kind of work if she wants it. Although I predict she’ll run for US Senate next.

All these GOPer loonies don’t worry about money to cover their idiocies. They know they can grift it from their supporters. Trump has a personal $100 million slush fund to pay for all his criminal attorneys, fines, etc., all bilked from his base. I’m sure Lake will never pull a single dollar from a personal account to cover any of these sanctions.

Yeah, they’re replacing that 2nd Amendment with the 1st now in everything they do or claim. I’m waiting for them to blend the two and say firing their dick extensions is free speech. Even if it kills people.
