On Thursday, rap artist Kanye West hinted at the true motive driving his futile bid for the presidency: sabotaging President Donald Trump’s Democratic rival, Joe Biden.
Let’s not forget that this is NOT the first time Kanye was “used” by Trump…
Remember that Trump & Kanye Trump Tower photo…
That was to distract the press from Kushner meeting with Russian bankers!
Addendum:
Here’s the first @NBCNews Battleground Map for 2020
West, an outspoken Trump supporter, told Forbes editor Randall Lane he was “walking…to win” when asked if him running for president was an effort to peel votes from Biden.
The fact that Kanye West would/could get any traction as any kind of spoiler in a presidential race is almost as much of a indictment against America as our COVID response has been.
Ballot access deadline missed (21 states + the District of Columbia): 246 electoral votes – Alaska, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Hawaii, Indiana, Florida, Kansas, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Maine, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Washington[95]
And his filing in Wisconsin appears to have been a few minutes late. Their law is strict, it has to be filed by 5 pm, and they missed by a few minutes. Wisconsin Supreme Court kept a senator from re-registering for being 2 minutes late, and I see no way that KKKanye gets an exception cut for him.
But even if he gets on, the only polling I have seen that asked about KKKanye Shows he takes votes from trump. Biden’s support stays the same, trump drops a point. KKKanye will either get non-voters to vote, or gets Trump supporters who are into disruption and chaos, and think voting for KKKanye proves they are not racists.
Piece on wi deadline miss:
And the poll with KKKanye in it was by redfield and Wilton (Canadian pollster), Biden was at 48%, trump at 40%, when KKKanye was added, Biden stayed at 48%, trump went to 39%, and KKKanye got 2%, Jorgensen (libretarian) got 2%.
Kanye has the right to play in heavy traffic and so do his supporters.
However, if he’s doing it for Trump’s reelection, then anyone thinking about joining Ye (Chance, Charlemagne, etc.) should think about whether that’s really a smart move.
This is play to shave off Black votes in Milwaukee. It won’t work. Milwaukee Dems, and Wisconsin Dems generally, are as battle-hardened and organized as they’ve been in years. The grassroots will see us through this, just as they saw us through 2018. These are the people who stood in line to win a state Supreme Court seat in a friggin pandemic.
