“But as long as the Legislature and the Governor leave this law on the books, we remain committed to giving it a full and robust legal defense.”

This is nothing more than the current AG helping out Kobach in his campaign for US Senate. This is a campaign stunt that plays well with the Republican base. Dems must remind voters that Kobach was sentenced to remedial law for lawyers as a part of his unconstitutional efforts.

Not her decision to appeal. Read the story better.

Somehow I doubt that the Supremes will grant cert to such an obviously ridiculous appeal, especially since there are no competing decisions by lower courts.

A highlight of that Kansas trial was when a lawyer for KKKobach was asked if a certain person with a Latino-sounding name would be purged from the rolls.

When he replied that the person would likely be purged, the ACLU(?) lawyer pointed out that the person he’d named was a judge in that very courthouse.

Morons.

(Sorry. I couldn’t find the article. It’s some pretty high comedy.)

this has nothing to do with Kansas, really, but everything to do with the Senate majority.
Just another brick in their wall.
This is for Trump, not for Kansans. It telegraphs their well-founded concerns that Barb Bollier is going to steamroll ANYONE now, even Big Mike the Pomp.
Seriously, in many ways this is encouraging, it means they know the reputation Kansas has for being so deeply irreparably red was challenged wth Governor Kelly and defied by Rep Sharice Davids, if they lose the Senate it will be shattered.
One thing to note… the extremists now being beaten like a red-headed step-child all came in during the Tea Mob/Brownback darkest days, and that extremism is exactly what puts them in the spotlight now for eventual ejection.
The rest of you have suffered social anxiety and serious, legitimate trauma since Trump slithered in, over the very same desperate issues Kansans saw with Brownback after 2010.
In so many ways our trauma was a precursor to Trump, just as Brownback was the proto-Trump.
The comparisons are eerie.

Well it would have helped her if the voters had given her a full Democratic slate, plus a majority in the lege.

The Governor should send the bill for this stunt directly the Kobach’s campaign.

That, and the case wouldn’t even be decided until after this year’s election. That makes the Republican desire to suppress votes a little less urgent in this case.

The RNC: “Quick! Someone find something to be stupid about so our stupid supporters know we support their stupidity.”

Kansas/Kobach: “You can count on us!”
