It is their brand. Whatever skill sets they should have had in doing their work have been thinned down to the antics of people who never progressed past the age of thirteen. And they are representative of the people who put them into office. What made these people? Or make better asked, what broke them?
One way or another, if they are about to implement a dictatorship, they are ill prepared to manage one.
I have a suggestion for everyone not them. Turn down the rage machine for a bit, don’t take the bait. So their constituents can be heard loud and clear when it all hits the fan. I give it about thirty days.

Even getting an email from a friend who uses tik tok and you don’t still puts your private information at risk. I suppose texting is just as dangerous. All of us here at TPM are at risk through one of us on tik tok

How many times in the next 4 years are we going to see someone like Nikki Haley grovel and snort Trump’s bullshit only to be blackballed by Trump for daring to challenge him. How many of his supporters is he going to humiliate and belittle in public for the enjoyment of the suck-ups around him.
How many times are we going to see companies like CBS capitulate and settle some completely ridiculous lawsuit to curry favor only to be called fake news and an enemy of the people the following week.
These demonstrations of power by the Exalted Leader are nauseating in a civil society. It is all out in the open now. The pillaging has just barely begun - we are looking at 4 years of total decimation of our status in the free world. And as all of our former friends turn away and we start to give away or demolish most everything that has made us a vibrant country, our only question will be - “Are we too big too fail?” We better hope we are.
This is a complete tragedy.

To a certain extent that’s true, but the really invasive thing that TikTok is rumored to do, is identifying and tracking people with facial recognition algorithms on posted videos. Because it’s primarily a video platform. Unless you’re posting your latest dance moves on TikTok videos you’re safe from that, at least.

To set the record straight (from the Urban Dictionary, emphasis mine): “chile is pronounced like child without the d. it’s sometimes used when someone does something questionable sort of like “wtf” nicki minaj popularized it when someone commented on her big boobs on she said “um chile… anyways” and people have started using it as a meme, however, it’s been around and used in the black community for years”
Nancy Mace, representing a southern state with a large Black community should know this term and how it is used.

I do not do TikTok, X, Facebook or the other platforms. Just TPM, texting friends & family and email. So I have a rather small presence on line. I rarely buy things on line.

I’m still on my first cup of coffee, it’s 8º outside, and I have a few inches of snow to shovel, so I’m not in a mood to be particularly rational, but . . . if the people who have the actual power to dismantle the New Deal, the Great Society, and the basic structure of our government, whether through intent or incompetence, actually succeed, how long will it take for all the king’s horses and all the king’s men to put it together again?

Don’t forget that DonOLD is still pissed that his winning vote total in 2016 was really higher than what was reported. 
I’m still concerned that the Board of Elections, in any county, would have a voter’s full 9 digit SSN on file. And add in that if a voter has a paper trail of voting for the past ten years then it’s not the voter’s fault if there is discrepancy on their voter application.

There is a market for literally anything like that on TikTok. You just have to pick the right music for it. Something the kidz will like. That’s probably the hardest part for us oldsters.
