“The officer in question had testified to the grand jury that Reid has initiated physical contact, but video of the incident showed that wasn’t true, Sooknanan said in court.“

Can one infer that the officer is lying under oath? Is there any penalty for that? Perhaps James Comey would like a word!

For now. Passive voice is doing a lot of work here. ‘Alive and housed somewhere in the region’ by whom? Are they getting medical care?

PS This is the first time I’ve seen reference anywhere to the fact there are survivors. Acknowledging that I don’t spend the entire day doomscrolling.

Ok, the solution here is to call back the House and negotiate with the Democrats. Does he realize how stupid this sounds? They’ve been on an extended vacation for three weeks.

Also, his wig looks like plastic.

I have no idea. I hope the survivors speak out at some point.

  • U.S. District Judge Georgia Alexakis of Chicago ordered prosecutors to ship back from Maine on a flatbed trailer the vehicle of a Border Patrol agent involved in a hotly contested incident in which he shot a woman after their vehicles collided earlier this month. Defense attorneys demanded that it be returned to the Chicago area so that they can examine it.

I may be petty, but WTF? Why was the BP agent’s vehicle that was in an accident with a civilian not still in Chicago? I will assume that the BP’s vehicle was sent on a flatbed to Maine, and now has to be sent back to Chicago so the defense attorney’s have access to the vehicle.
Why was it necessary to hide the vehicle? Does BP only have a contract with one auto body shop that happens to be in Maine?
