Trump’s ass. First, Canada is a sovereign nation with their own military. Trump just can’t wave a wand and says it’s mine.
Second, if they were to come into the US they would come as at least 9 states and 2 territories. At 45M people they would get 60 seats in the House and 18 seats in the Senate. Since they conservatives only hold about 35% of the seats in the Canadian Parliament, 65% of these new Congressional representatives would like caucus with Dems.
Be careful want you wish for Mango. A new Congress with a new Canada would probably have the numbers to impeach, convict and remove you.

Trump just has to avoid catching the Judiciary in his DOGE trap in order to keep John Roberts as his most favorite altar boy assistant. But I don’t think that Elon cares, and come to think of it Trump is just having a blast and probably can’t be bothered.

So who or what will enforce these orders from the judges?
Bondi won’t enforce them and she controls the US Marshalls.
Republicans in Congress won’t lift a finger.
Neither will the military which will do what ever Trump and Hegseth command.
And the Supreme Court already proclaimed Trump to be God’s Anointed King On Earth.
So Trump will continue his dictatorship aided and abetted by Sleazy E and his Peter Pan Posse.

Americans seem to have different levels of understanding as to what is at stake in Ukraine. The behavior suggests some even think foreign policy can be conducted like episodes of the Apprentice, with scripted conflicts and outcomes, all building to find out who is fired and who is in favor this week. Keith Kellogg, Trump’s envoy to Ukraine, seems to have had too much understanding, and Trump went around him yesterday proposing peace talks that resolve the conflict largely on Putin’s terms. Not even a traditional ceasefire needed! Because the occupants of the ceded territories voted to join Russia in free and fair elections (not). Good for 29 other Nato members for pointing out this is not how long-term peace is achieved. Peace is what happens when Russia ceases bullying its weaker neighbors and gives up on this dream of a revived Russian empire. In this sense, China’s geopolitical goals of stripping out global resources and keeping on good terms through not-too-predatory lending programs seems more sensible at least. Since it is obvious that Trump-Putin armtwisting without EU consent was premature to say the least, JD Vance chirpped in today with his own threats of sanctions on Russia if they don’t do exactly what Trump-Putin demands. This has to be the most chaotic and amateurish foreign policy debacle for the US in centuries. Indeed, if not returning to 2013 borders is too difficult, and Putin really needs help with his coal obsession, a two province solution that cedes Donetsk and Luhansk to Russia, while returning Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Crimea to Ukraine, with reduced war-repatriation requirments would be accepted by the EU. In any case, Ukraine’s much-discussed Nato membership is likely a non-starter until the regimes in the US and Hungary change.
