A Texas judge on Friday night temporarily blocked Gov. Greg Abbott’s (R) order to investigate gender-affirming care for transgender youth as “child abuse,” following a ruling earlier this month that barred the state from investigating the parents of a transgender teen.
According to Paxton’s tweet, the judge’s order is on hold due to the appeal. Is this accurate?
Either way this needs to be addressed in the post. The judge’s order is on hold pending the appeal allowing these witch hunts to continue which basically negates the headline or Paxton is a liar and needs to be called out.

I recommend “Republicanal AG” or “Republicanus AG,” either of which is a perfectly fine adjectival form.
The Republican party is going down this route of hatred because they don’t have anything else, their policies are unpopular once people understand what they mean. Their only option is to get their supporters so angry that they will reliably vote Republican, despite how it harms them. This won’t be the last extremist policy that they push…in the end they are going to push us into a civil war simply because the hate leads to that point.
Paxton created a phony grievance out of thin air and prejudice and then tried to implement a faux “solution”. This only proves that with a dense enough smoke screen, he can avoid the dirty work of solving real problems in favor of unproductive demagoguery.

Yes I was talking to Mr Tena about this last night. Since Abbott is officially the GOP nominee for gov, why is he still running like he’s trying to impress Hitler? It can only be because that is it - he did exactly fuck all for the state. He has to distract voters from the fact that he got paid off by the energy providers who otherwise did nothing to keep our power grid from self-destructing. We just got lucky this past winter. The man freezes us and diseases us - an unconscionable number of Texans have died of COVID because of the anti-vaccine, anti-mask GOP policies, too. He’s great at killing us off. And I guess the only thing that will drown that out is a whole lotta meanness and hate, or so Greg Abbott apparently believes. Twisted little fuck. Small man among small men.
