I think the defense strategery was to elicit outrageous testimony from Ms. Clifford, and then move for a mistrial because of that testimony. The judge upbraided the defense because they didn’t object to the testimony, but later tried to use it as the basis for a mistrial.
But IANAL, so take it for what it’s worth.

Have to wonder if the Defense will be able to object to that.
Their argument is likely to be that TIFBG didn’t write that, especially with the prior evidence that his caddy was writing quite a bit of his content.

Of course jury nullification is the strategy. They don’t have much else.
I number of years ago, I went to a panel discussion at The New Yorker Festival called Movies And The Mob. One of the panelists was a mob lawyer, had repped John Gotti, etc. He was incredibly smart, charming, and funny. I wish I could remember his name, but it’s been almost 2 decades.
He said that when he was defending someone accused of whacking someone, his first job was to convince the jury that the person deserved to get whacked.
