A few days ago I found a wallet by a curb. Had the guy’s driver’s license with an address pretty far away; nothing else in it would have helped me track him down. So I googled the name and address and found a telephone number, and it was his mom. Turned out he was moving into town here and ten minutes later he had his wallet back. She pointed to the killing of her son as a warning sign of the heightened threat against judges in the country.
The truth is…there’s more danger for judges that DO NOT agree with the trumpian despotic way!

Quite a few years ago I lost a wallet and checkbook. They came back in a post ofc envelope. Evidently a mail carrier found them. I knew I had lost them near a mail box.
And Barr just blew off that muckfucker Stone’s threats against Judge Berman-Jackson.
Maybe if Attorney General Barr spent some more time marshalling resources to protect the judges of this country that Trump demonizes, rather than sending federal assets into our cities to act as Trump’s secret police to inflict violence on peaceful protesters, we would not have this mother burying her child.
Barr serves as Trump’s consigliere rather than abiding by the oath he swore to uphold.
Yet Trump and his acolytes have not tweeted about this case. I take it that it hasn’t been the main story on Fox. It looks like they don’t want to upset their incel base.

I mean, we used to get giant books full of people’s addresses delivered to our homes.
The problem isn’t that people can find out someone’s address – that’s still pretty easy using Google. The problem is our society has become so rife with heavily armed and malicious individuals that we’re becoming legitimately worried about people finding out where we live.
If we’re conceding that regular people’s addresses need to be secret for their own safety, we’ve already lost.
I can just hear Barr’s voice in my head starting with his defense of Stone, “weeeell…”. I want this motherfucker to go down, legally, in public so as to be a warning against others who think that they can anoint another king.
We used to have those in newspaper offices, like phone books but organized by address. If there was a fire somewhere you could ask the neighbors about it. But you had to have the book, first of all. There were phone books at the library, but you have to know where the targeted person lives. It’s just easier now, and an easy thing is more likely to happen than a slightly more difficult thing.
This was one of those stories that raced by me while the rest of the news has been so awful day after day. This made me stop and go back and read some information on why this happened and who did it. So - an eternally angry misogynistic white man with a gun and thousands of pages of bilious ranting on line about feminist controlled society.
I am going to say this was not a surprise ending. I cannot imagine the pain these parents are going through.
I say this with no disrespect to Judge Salas, but a federal judge gets targeted for job-related violence roughly once every decade. US Marshals are routinely deployed when there is any kind of specific security concern (I know about that first-hand). What more should we reasonably do about this?
I don’t know how to protect the judge or her family against a determined and deranged lawyer. You would imagine he might just follow her home one day.
No parent should ever have to bury a child. Ever.
Well for starters after reading about this guy, and having a female judge hear the lawsuit, then maybe red flag laws should be in place. This is just a suggested place to start.
Gun control.
This is a man who was clearly a threat and yet he was able to get a gun, probably completely legally.
I have an idea to mitigate it. How about the GOP speaking points not militarize language and use threats against every person who disagrees with them?
How about the president not threatening journalists with bodily harm, or pointing proudly to biker gangs who will beat up his critics?
Sadly it’s gonna get worse for her. This incident where an angry ‘mens rights activist’ killed her son has been turned into an ‘Epstein conspiracy’ and wrapped into the greater ‘politician I hate is a pedo’ conspiracy theory that’s getting pushed all over social media lately. The top post on many stories about this are all how he was a hitman sent by Trump/Clinton/Deep State Dems/British Royalty/Whatever. Sadly the Alex Jones and qAnon crowd has her marked now.
