The House Jan. 6 Committee can obtain data on the Republican National Committee’s (RNC) fundraising email push, a federal judge ruled on Sunday night.

Ronna is upset, and will now start tweeting twice her usual stream of lies.

This is from a Trump appointed judge, and one can only imagine Donnie shouting "I bought this judge and he didn’t stay bought!"

Which they will, then they lose, then they appeal again and they lose again then it goes to the Supreme Court which will vote 8-1 against them.

They would have spent untold millions on a hopelessly lost cause all because they elected a circus clown as president.

Fiscal responsibility?

And… So… But; how does this information help further the prospect(s) of possible indictments of folks involved in the January 6 insurrection? I’m sure taking a look-see at the RNC fundraising data is a must-read- but does- will it lead to anything useful for the stated purpose of the Committee?

One of the drawbacks of changing my registration to Republican is that now I get all their BS fliers, including several from Ronna asking for money. Oh and the Big Lie is alive and well in Georgia’s GOP circles, all candidates are promoting it, even those to whom “Election Security” is none of the business of the office they are seeking. I get plenty of pictures of Trump.

The RNC shouldn’t despair, they have the Corrupt Catholic Supreme Court to appeal to.

Good question, Dems oughtta ask every GOPer they see/debate/committee converse with that very question.

I hope you send their mailers back with extra stuff, prepaid envelopes only of course.

My prediction is the Republican and not conservative Supreme Court will stall any decision until after the November 2nd 2022 with the hope that Repugs will take control of the House of Representatives.

I think Committee knows what they are doing, and recall some large donors were angling towards a authoritarian state?

WASHINGTON (AP) — A unanimous Supreme Court ruled Monday that Boston violated the free speech rights of a conservative activist when it refused his request to fly a Christian flag on a flagpole outside City Hall.

Shurtleff [the Plaintiff} is a former organizer with the John Birch Society and has used his Camp Constitution website to question the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, the outcome of the 2020 election that put President Joe Biden in office, the efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines and even who was behind the Sept. 11 attacks.

Yeah, they must have not “vetted” him very thoroughly was my thought when I read that.

Would make excellent bird cage liners. Maybe. Depends on the bird’s ability to handle that “face.”

Would be perfect for lining bottom of rat cage, too, if you raise them. That is, if the rats aren’t too offended by the development.

Well, there’s a judge who won’t be invited to the next “Trump Judge Federalist Society Gala”…I’m sure he’s being called a traitor somewhere.

The committee is looking into the ways that the mob was incited to attack the Capitol, so the methods used by the RNC to fundraise could have been a contributor. It’s not about who gave them money (though that can be an indicator of who they were reaching), it’s about if their constant lying about the election result helped to convince people to attack the government. That can lead to legislation which tries to hold groups accountable for their ads and conduct leading to an insurrection…it won’t go anywhere because of the Republicans of course, but it’s a responsibility of Congress to look into such things.

It’s not a political witch hunt or fishing for “insurrectionist X contributed to the RNC!” type headlines, it’s a valid inquiry into what drove people to want to tear down the government through violent means. The entire right wing political hemisphere was saying outlandish stuff, this investigation is getting into what all that was, how it was a pack of lies, and how it connects to the violence.

Trump judge decides there’s likely some fire there and doesn’t want to get burned.
