“Todd Blanche: prosecutors had been extremely unfair to him. They did so, Trump argued, by failing to secure evidence from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, and by interfering and trying to block supposedly exonerating evidence from making it to Trump’s legal team.”
To be fair he has never had to face any real accountability and has always been surrounded by sycophants willing to give credence to any crazy thing he says.
So from his perspective this is unfamiliar territory to him and very unfair. Unfortunately for him he now has to learn lessons he should have been taught a long time ago.
The trial will be out of sight of the camera. We will have to rely on reporters to tell us what happens. Most people won’t pay any attention to the trial. Trump will lose but he will be fined instead of jailed.
Each of the 34 felony counts against Trump has a four-year maximum prison sentence. I have heard that there are businessmen in NY prisons for getting convicted on such charges. The charges have been described as the ‘bread and butter’ of criminal prosecutions in Manhattan.
It would be useful if someone would do a survey of the recent history of such NYC cases to establish the likelihood of Trump facing prison time. I personally don’t see a four-year sentence but a simple fine might be only in Trump’s dreams.

Not much of a delay. And since this is a criminal trial, he will have to be present in court – the downside of which is that he’ll be conducting his idiotic diatribes outside the courthouse (or nearby) every day.
