A federal judge ruled in favor of Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) Thursday, finding that Department of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth violated the senator’s constitutional rights by attempting to downgrade his rank and retirement benefits. Hegseth targeted Kelly after he participated in a video warning members of the military not to follow illegal orders; he was…

More like Hegseth spewed chunks on Senator Kelly’s First Amendment Freedoms, then passed out in the puddle.

Just wait until this goes through the appeals process and makes its way to SCOTUS.

All bets are off, then.

Judge Rules Against Hegseth, Finding That He ‘Trampled on Senator Kelly’s First Amendment Freedoms’

… … … …
I thought it obvious since what Sen. Kelly did was quote military law about illegal orders and that troops were not to follow those orders.

Which brings to mind the extrajusicial killings in the eastern Pacific off Central America and in the Caribbean by the US Navy.130+ have been killed. And it is not at all legal or right.

Sen. Kelly is right not to back down.

If we can retake the Senate, we may be able to join the ICC. Then we can refer Kegsbreath to the Hague for trial on this. Also, any and all who followed those orders.

I applaud the sentiment, but in practice, I rather doubt that even if the Democrats run the table in the 2028 election and have control over all three branches of government, we’re going to see a president willing to hand members of the US military over to the ICC.

I was pretty sure I’d seen more in-text exclamation points than I had ever seen used in any single district court opinion I’d ever read before when I got to the third one. By the time I got to the bottom, I’d counted nine. And what’s up with the oddly placed date line with the blank filled-in in ink?

They seem to have no internal warning light about things that will seem totally unfair to the average person. Because they are a party of the pathological few who can only understand might makes right.

“Rather than trying to shrink the First Amendment liberties of retired servicemembers, Secretary Hegseth and his fellow Defendants might reflect and be grateful for the wisdom and expertise that retired servicemembers have brought to public discussions and debate on military matters in our Nation over the past 250 years,” he wrote. “If so, they will more fully appreciate why the Founding Fathers made free speech the first Amendment in the Bill of Rights!”

Reflect? The only reflection that Dregseth engages with is when he looks in a mirror.

His so-called “warrior ethos” does not involve reflection, thought, or morality. Just lots and lots of testosterone and making things go boom.

Why stop with Hegseth ? Trump, Miller, Noem, Bondi, Patel, Vance and a whole group of these murderous assholes should be referred to the ICC in The Hague.

Since the SCOTUS ruled that Trump is immune to US Law, the next POTUS should simply deport much of the Trump Administration to The Hague and let the ICC prosecute them and lock them up forever.

Deportation is, apparently, an Executive Branch prerogative - NOT subject to US due process or judicial review, SO IF the SCOTUS won’t allow THE PURSUIT OF JUSTICE under US Law, let the PROPER AND MORAL authorities prosecute them. They are no different than Putin.

Justice must be done somewhere else because Justice is a bigger concept than the United States Constitution and its recent judicial corruption.

The Trump administration includes a multitude of alcoholics, some wet, some dry. Hegseth is one of the wet ones. His behavior is classic boozer.

Activist judge. Interpreting the Constitution as intended. Full-on antifa, this guy, and it’s damn good to see.

We dont need the ICC to prosecute illegal orders and war crimes. (Edit, given that these murders and piracy occured in international waters… could be a challenge in US court, but perhaps the case can be made for holding them accountable in the US bc the orders were given in the territorial US.)

  1. Impeach and remove Bondi.
  2. Remind everyone that accountability is coming and murder has no statute of limitations.
  3. Hold trials once the dictator is out of office.

Trivia. Heard somewhere that Judge Leon is known for his use of exclamation points.

Ratification of that treaty, as 125 other countries have, may end up being the price of reentry into the community of nations after TSF is gone.
