A federal judge denied Monday several requests by former National Security Advisor Mike Flynn that the Justice Department turn over various documents that Flynn claimed would show prosecutorial misconduct in his plea deal.
Nice little reminder about Judge Sullivan from the WaPo article:
Sullivan, the longest-serving active federal judge on the U.S. District Court in Washington and a judicial appointee of presidents of both parties, enjoys a nationwide reputation for championing defendants rights under the so-called Brady rule, which established the government’s obligation to turn over evidence that can be useful for the defense.
At the same time, U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan rescheduled Flynn’s sentencing, which has twice been delayed. Flynn’s sentencing hearing is now scheduled for Jan. 28.
(narrator voice) WHY WAS THE FUCKING SENTENCING HEARING POSTPONED AGAIN?
