Judge Howell is one smaht lady. She has put it on the record that president* Trusk is not adhering to the Constitution he promised to “preserve, protect, and defend.” Course, he didn’t put his hand on the Bible; I envision it would have looked like a scene from an Indiana Jones movie.

So is it up to SCJ Barrett and CJ Roberts?

Yes, and in the recent case where Roberts granted the president immunity for breaking the law under the color of official acts he said “The President occupies a unique position in the constitutional scheme as the only person who alone composes a branch of government.”

OT: I have worked on veterans issues my entire career since I was drafted in 1969 to go fight a stupid war in Southeast Asia. I met with some veterans groups today who are distraught. Insult upon insult. One vet put it perfectly. Here are 2 guys (Dump and Elonia) who never served and who never paid FICA from their paycheck their entire fucking lives who don’t understand the investment we the people have made in our country and our individual retirement futures. Couldn’t have said it better.

It should bother the VP and all the cabinet members but they all seem to be content with doing what they’re ordered to do.

She and Amy Berman Jackson have had T’s number for a while. I commend them for their continued professionalism after all these cases.

That’s all she can do, the law and precedent and the Constitution seem pretty clear, it sounds like, but Roberts has shown a penchant for ignoring all 3 at times.

Sorry, it is now!

Won’t bother to dig up the original Alice quote, but words means exactly what you mean them to mean, so once somebody uses it, and others understand it, it’s a word!

That is one goddamned brave lady!

Sadly, billionaires see the world as specifically theirs that they deign to allow the rest of us to occupy, as long as we don’t get in their way or ask for too much.
