Outgoing Chief U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell for the District of Columbia ordered a key Trump attorney to testify before the grand jury investigating the Mar-a-Lago document scandal, multiple news outlets reported on Friday.

Trump’s attorneys are expected to appeal Howell’s ruling to the D.C. Circuit. As the matter concerns an ongoing investigation, it’s not clear how much of the litigation will be made public

For those wondering what is meant by “outgoing”, it is only that her seven year term as Chief Judge is up. She is not retiring, not taking senior status, and remains an active sitting judge. The new chief Judge, Boasberg, is no slouch (caddyshack reference).
But they owe him! It would be disloyal to not rule in his favor!
A couple months, then a couple weeks before SCOTUS overrules the ensuing emergency motion to stay.
Per txlawyer, a couple months. That’s also consistent with the time elapsed for the 11th circuit court to deal with aileen cannon’s shenanigans.
Nope, they want him done, dusted, and gone. For them it’s time to clear the decks for somebody who can win. Alito and Thomas could be one with Scalia any day now.
Have to say, the strategy of delay and obstruct seems to be working for TFG. Everything they throw at him, he’s got a delay and obstruct response to. Must be years of playing in the minor leagues of the NYC legal system.
