A federal judge in California on Saturday ordered the Trump administration to temporarily halt “winding down or altering any Census field operations” after the Trump administration moved to cut Census collection operations from eight to four months.

Really what the telling moment is, is when the maladministration actually acted like an administration and asked Congress for an extension. But then one of the Republican wonks figured out that if they kept the Census activities to the original timeline, then they could cut out all those people. So now they don’t want the extension, they want wrap this up quickly so Trump can keep his orange finger prints all over the effects long after he’s out of office.
Just figured out why the GOP stands and says nothing: They’re standing next to the bully.

The end result is the same, but I would think that this has been a Miller idea all along along. Trump knows buggerall about the census and the statistical, legal and logistical complexities of the census. Miller and/or some other white nationalist White House figure has been pimping this out to Trump from the start.
O/T Well that old adage of “like speaks to like”, and “you’ll be known by the company that you keep”, is now being played out in legal representation for an accused killer and a fund raiser to support his defense.
I see this as more lower level Republican asshattery than the more openly uber racist Miller. I can now see how mess with the Census is aligned with gerrymandering for keeping Republicans in control. I’m not counting Miller out, but not willing, yet, to give him major credit.
Meadows, Jared too stupid so I would think it’s Miller. Who else is there at this point? I suspect Miller is behind all of the more “subtle” directives. But I’m sure they get plenty of suggestions from the lower level asshattery contingent.
