Can’t wait to hear this guy sing.

He has been in isolation at an Otisville, New York, prison camp.

I’m betting there are no campfires, sing-alongs, and S’mores on the weekend…

Meanwhile, nobody knows who inserted the clause in Cohen’s terms of home detention that prohibited him from publishing a book. Really, none of the bureau of prisons personnel will even admit knowing about it.

Wow, that will be fun…

I really hope that someone (judge, Biden administration, Cohen) gets to the bottom of who ordered the effort to suppress Cohen, and misused federal authority in the process. Would like to set hem criminally charged…

I’m sure Trump wishes him well … in a “fight for justice” sort of way.

And a “Don’t say anything about me” sort of way.

Ok, that just made my tuna salad sandwich turn rancid on the spot.

Good for Cohen. Doesn’t matter what he did before, he still has rights and that needs to mean something to all of us.

How nice of Trump to give Cohen’s book more publicity than it could possibly have generated on its own merits.

As with much of what Trump does, this was petty, sadistic, ineffectual, abused the power of his office and, ultimately, was self-defeating.

I think it’s bullshit. Cohen was under house confinement. He was caught eating at a posh uptown French Bistro with friends. That’s NOT home confinement. That’s fine dining.

Fuck that Judge. Cohen can write his book ( which will have no more impact than Bolton’s or Mary Trump’s ) in a jail cell.

He has no right to dine in a Manhattan Bistro when he’s supposed to be in home confinement.

wow, I’ve just been reading some ofthe filings in this case… and its pretty amazing.

So, Cohen’s case gets assigned to a probation officer (Pakula) who says he’s never done a “Federal Location Monitoring” (FLM) program agreement (although he’s worked there since 2007). But he doesn’t seem to ask anyone in SDNY who has been involved with FLM program. But out of the blue, and apparently unsolicited, comes an email from a (unidentified – his name is redacted) “colleague” in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania who just happens to have come up with a special FLM agreement for “high profile FLM requests”

and Pakula basically copies and pastes the language from this unidentified “colleague” into Cohen’s FLM agreement – and that is what gets sprung on Cohen at the last minute.

Cohen’s lawyers no doubt knew exactly what to expect from an FLM program agreement — and had explained the terms to Cohen. So when they see this brand new “high profile” agreement, they of course start asking questions about its brand new provisions – and ask that some stuff be clarified. So Pakula suspends the meeting in order to “consult” with his higher ups – and Cohen and his lawyer assume that the meeting will resume. They wait an hour and a half, and when Pakula comes back, he puts Cohen in shackles.

No wonder the judge had no problem letting Cohen loose!

EDIT – its important to note that the unidentified colleague from Pennsylvania called his “high profile” FLM candidate and reviewed the terms of the agreement before emailing a copy to be signed. Pakula did not do that – even though that is what the guy in Pennsylvania did.
