Judge Orders Eastman To Prove That He Has A Real Reason To Assert Attorney-Client Privilege Over Trump Docs

Accept, yes. Accept without checking, no. This is the judge putting eastmook on the spot.

How it starts:

  1. First we pretend that we believe that these states have legitimate doubts about the vote totals they just certified and sent to Congress.

Basically, if you believe that you’ll believe anything.

I certainly hope so! hahahahahaha The judge won’t accept some blanket idea of privilege; he’s requiring proof for every single claim and that ought to raise the hair on the back of Eastman’s neck.

Exactly. Trump is not “good,” because he is not going to tender such an affidavit. He isn’t willing to, and even if he were, this is one of those situations where attorneys would talk him down. The court seeks testimony “attesting that written documentation does not exist” and “specifying” the time and scope. I’m not sure even the attorneys best situated - i.e., witnesses with knowledge- would want to make such statements under oath, and Trump likely wouldn’t go out on a limb and sign - much more likely that he’d leave Eastman writhing on the pavement with bus-tire treads on his jacket. Further, the judge isn’t constrained by an affidavit if it can be challenged. And to resolve the challenge, the judge could presumably hold an evidentiary hearing, and Trump does not want to appear.

The California Bar never lifted a finger against that shyster Orly Taitz.

I doubt they will do anything with Eastman.

The judge would need to see the video in order to rule.

Rudy is faux-operating on documents because DOJ already search warranted all of them. I don’t for one second believe that he’s going to tell the truth about the insurrection when he goes under oath.

Here’s hoping he commits perjury then on something they have in writing so they have him dead to rights.

No, the cyberattacks are exactly what you’d expect ahead of movement on the ground. Or it’s just a final warning, a last chance to get concessions or else. Either way, not good.

He won’t pay anything, mummy (aka taxpayers) will pony up for this donkey.
He got off nicely. Still lives in beautiful palaces with flunkies and asskissers on demand, swans around in very fancy cars and, best of all, he doesn’t have to get up early and go to work anymore.
What’s not to like?

I don’t think @mattinpa was giving any positive credit to a GOPer, more like pointing out what gutless wonders they are, even now, while trying to take credit for defanging something they allowed to grow fangs in the first place.
