A judge this week ordered the Michigan Republican Party Chairwoman Kristina Karamo and six others to pay more than $58,000 in legal fees racked up by the Detroit clerk’s office as it fought a lawsuit filed by the party last year claiming — without evidence — that there was wrongdoing in Detroit’s election.
Is that $58,000 a piece, or $58,000 divided between the six people? If its the six of them…big whoop-dee-doo. Symbolism only gets you so far. Make it really hurt to bring about knowingly frivolous lawsuits, why don’t ya? That woman btw is batshit cray-cray. I live in MI so I know.
With Trump as their herald, they really have gone all-in on resurrecting the Know-Nothings. Time and time again, they are losing court cases and legislative maneuvers because they ignore/don’t know basic procedural motions and work under the assumption that the provable facts don’t matter. Allowing the judge, or the Democrats, to hand them their asses for their trouble.

Just for the record, kristina Karamo was not one of the 16 Michigan alternafraud electors. Just checked, because frequently there’s overlap among the legal bullshitters.
It seems unarguable: in ad campaigns, on Truf Social, Faux News, the Freedum Kaukus and in any number of speculative, investigative committees near daily factual support is provided for the description.
She’s batshit crazy. She’s stated that Democrats drink the blood of children, that demonic possession is sexually transmitted, abortion is “child sacrifice” and a “satanic practice”, and Beyonce, Cardi B, and Ariana Grande are pagan witches & “tools of Lucifer”.
So, too loony to risk letting her be an elector then. (most of the alternafraud electors are the same persons as would have been the legitimate electors if TFG had won the state)
This chyron was in the Morning Memo because David Kurtz found it hilarious. Ihave to agree, except for the viewers who will see it and nod along in agreement.
But, but, Rethuglicans are experts on all this, aren’t they? . . . Well, aren’t they? Oh, that’s right, the Rethugs are experts on lying, cheating, and dissembling. Now that explains it.
Well, find a way to do this without violating the First Amendment, and go for it! Wait–you’re not one of those people who believe that only the “right” people should have Constitutional rights, are you?
The spiral went past “alarming” a little while ago. I saw a clip from the Ladiez Section of TPUSA where Candace What’sherface told the attendants that they didn’t need college degrees, they needed to work in their backyard gardens.
I guess I shouldn’t be surprised the prepperism is inching its way into the conversation: the GQP, for all its adoration of Capitalism, distrusts it in equal measures. Capitalism binds us all together, makes us interdependent, which Republicans increasingly dislike. They seem to be developing a vision of a world of subsistence farmers who live or die according to their own efforts, no help from anyone else.
It probably won’t be long before someone, somewhere, advocates for simply Khmer Rouging all educated people…
