Awesome, but not unexpected.

Ms. Hobbs, please apply for sanctions against these two-bit lawyers. Lessons need to be taught and learned.

Edited for the honorific & to say that I’ve never posted first before! You can see a long way from here, it’s really pretty!

Lake tweeted Saturday afternoon that she will appeal Thompson’s ruling.

On what possible grounds could she base an appeal?
I mean in the real world, in her world I guess losing is grounds enough.

Claiming she won the lawsuit anyway is entirely predictable. Her siloed fans will wonder in a few weeks why she’s not governor, but by then they’ll be on to some other outrage.

Lake tweeted Saturday afternoon that she will appeal Thompson’s ruling.

So she’s setting the stage for sanctions2. May she succeed beyond her wildest dreams.

Yeah, they still have to work on Christmas Eve.

I guess it was the foregone conclusion that voting would be the go-to device for MAGAt GOP. Authoritarianism depends on a society with a particular slant on the idea of voting.

Cool. Now election denier Kari Lake can go back to being The Biggest Karen in Arizona. Whiner.

Her lawsuit was dismissed, meaning it never went to trial, meaning she didn’t lose because her case was never heard in court. FWIW, I think she’s confused, as well. She really doesn’t understand legal procedures in court.

Thompson will now provide a couple days for Hobbs’ team to file motions to sanction Lake’s lawyers.

If by “a couple days” you mean 42 hours, 24 of which are christmas day, ok. The deadline to file a request for sanctions is 8AM december 26th. The deadline for Lake (and her sanctionable attorneys) to file a response is 5PM december 26th. The thinking is that since Maricopa County likely already has their sanctions paperwork together, all they need to do is change the dates and file at the last minute. So this is likely a fuck you to the plaintiffs who will have to work through christmas day drawing up contingency responses.

She’s appealing to Baby Jebez on his birthday. Kind of like petitioning the Godfather on the day of his daughter’s wedding, I think.

They’ve already told the judge they will. So the judge gave them an 8AM deadline the day after christmas to file. And gave Lake et al a 5PM deadline that day to file a response. Judge is gettin testy.

According to MAGA Law, every court loss in an election related case is a part of the Great Conspiracy to screw “Patriots” to keep them out of office. Their court loss is evidence that the system is loaded against them, regardless of the utter absurdity of their case and the complete lack of supposed “evidence”.
