LOL…$10 on Trump now having to schedule something to top it and thereby falling for the trap. Biden is making it about the victims etc. by taking a day off. Trump will be stepping all over the victims by making it about himself.
Look at Wilbur. Doesn’t he look like a Wilbur? He seems to be thinking, “What did I have for breakfast this morning? Can’t remember.”
Here’s a question for you, Texas Lawyer.
As noted above, I’m a census supervisor. Two weeks ago we were asked to poll our teams and ask who would be interested in traveling to Dallas, TX, or nearby states, to enumerate (knock on doors to get info). The enumerator would have to put up their own money for a flight, hotel room, car, etc., and then be reimbursed.
During our supervisors conference call, I asked, “Why would Dallas, Texas, need people from western New York to get on planes, travel across the country, rent cars and hotel rooms, and hit the streets in Texas?” My answer was no answer–they were just passing along the info they’d received from upper management.
Maybe you’ve got a clue, cause I don’t.
I spent four weeks enumerating. Funny part is that I kept an unofficial count to myself and more over 40 white people refused to be counted than not so very good English speaking people. They don’t seem to get that they’re doing the opposite of what Wilbur and the shitgibbon want. I worked in some large apartment complexes near a mosque, and the words I heard as I left were very often “Peace be upon you.”
The economy can use the stimulus.
My benign WAG would be that Dallas County’s self-reporting responses are a bit below average, we’ve got a lot of people here, and our COVID outbreak is way down from where it was for the last three months or so.
The “reimbursement” scheme seems pretty skeevy though.
ETA: With our months-long COVID outbreak, it also makes sense to me that the Census might have had difficulty signing up workers locally.
My unofficial opinion, from having accompanied some of my guys into the field, is that people of middle eastern background were the best re: responding.
You missed one other factor -
He’ll have Rudy by his side for EVERYthing Trump does tomorrow.
She had been posting for months about her new place in Tennessee (apparently it features a view of Justin Bieber’s barn). She planned the outrage hit to help pay for the move and the costs shutting down the money-losing business.
U.S. district judge Judge Lucy Koh dismissed the protestations of Trump administration lawyers Thursday morning, insisting that they quickly produce material documenting the administration’s abrupt decision to shorten the census data collection timeline.
But…but…judge…the material is still under audit.
The judge wants to know what they considered in cutting short the census.
Can’t they just print out Trump’s tweets? That’s not so hard.
If he tries to visit the 9/11 site in NYC, as a florida resident doesn’t he have to quarantine for 14 days?
That’s not enough time to explain why we’re in such a hurry, your honor.
The people wouldn’t do the travel, which is the point of asking people geographically distant.
Haha! Of course…can’t have the holiday without its mascot, right? It’d be like Easter with no zombie Jesus!
Even if I agreed with the woman’s politics, I would think twice about going back to a place that shared private footage of clients.
There has always been an unspoken agreement about privacy with good hair stylists.
“Only her hair dresser knows for sure.”
There is a question about Hispanic ethnicity. They will just take a percentage of that group out of the count. I’m just guessing.
On the contrary, it shouldn’t be hard or time consuming to pull together all docs and corresponce related to halting the Census. A tweet or two, maybe an Executive Order - that’s all the “rationale” there was.
It’s harder to build something than to tear something down. If they could use shredders to create documents and justifications, they’d be in great shape.
Infrastructure week at last.
