So I guess when this guy shows up unannounced in Kiev next week, we shouldn’t think anything untoward has happened?

Wasn’t he caught at an airport with a one-way ticket out of the country?

Hell, what’s it take to get extreme detention around here, anyway?

“District Judge Paul Oetken for the Southern District of New York said that he recognized that there was a serious risk of flight but found that the ‘strict conditions that exist are appropriate’.”

“Reached for comment, Parnas praised Oetken’s ruling as his Aeroflot flight taxied for takeoff at JFK.”

Yes he was and he explained it all! One way is cheaper than two way. So we can all relax now.

That’s not very comforting.

What??? If he done wrong, lied about his finances and hid assets, why is he getting a sweetheart deal to remain free on bond but under house arrest? I don’t get it. We have some pretty fucked up judges in this country that really, really don’t understand how they contribute to the inequities in our judicial system. Sorry…but this is a horrible decision. The man should be locked up pending trial. How hard is that? This wouldn’t have led to an appeal, nor would it be considered a miscarriage of justice if he held him in custody in jail, ffs. Parnas was told to come clean about his finances and he didn’t. A million dollars isn’t something you just discover in your fucking seat cushions. Besides, he didn’t report it. It was found out by a third party I believe, and then reported.

Boy, wouldn’t Donnie love to see Parnas pull a Hogwallop “runnoft” before he’s forced to flip…

I dunno, but if my wife started receiving money from Firtash, I would start eating out and locking myself in the guest room for sleeping.

You mean she hasn’t told you yet, comrade?

will allow Parnas to stay under the same conditions of release he was previously under.

Not surprising.

It was the request for less onerous conditions that the judge rejected.

Oetken, in his ruling, said that while Parnas had violated “the spirit” of the law, there was “no clear, direct misstatement” that he could identify.

A different judge might have ruled differently.

Yes. Been that way from the start. If you look at bond rulings over a large period of time you’ll see some mighty bizarre stuff. There really hasn’t been anything resembling justice in this country, ever.

It’s just so NICE when you buy the judge beforehand.

Nothing says “innocent” like getting a little $1 million loan from a concierge for the Russian mafia.

Two Epstein’d inmates within 6 months would make Barr have a bad day.

Accidents outside are much less suspicious.
