Pretty much, saw it. They cut the audio when the shooting apparently starts, I counted 7 seconds from arrival, and they all jumped out and were all screaming, no way anyone would be able to process and comply with them in that time.

I fondly recall many summer days during my youth riding in the back of a pickup truck. Sadly, those halcyon days of yore will never be enjoyed by the younger generations, as our personal freedoms have been whittled away by nanny state legislation. Thanks, Obama!

I remember when I first moved to MS, and I was driving down I-55 from Jackson to New Orleans, and I’m doing a good 85MPH, and a pickup truck passes me. In the back is a loveseat with four little black kids on it. Couldn’t have been one of them over ten years old.
It was horrifying.

I remember riding in the back of a late 40’s chevy pickup with my brother and cousin on the curvy roads of southern Missouri going to a place to dig nightcrawlers. 90 MPH there and back, 60-80 mile round trip. My uncle driving and my dad in the passenger seat, both of them drinking many, many beers.
I’m actually amazed I’m still alive sometimes.

Hell, even the “safest on the road” brand, Volvo used to have the station wagon with the rear facing seats.
Used to love riding in the back of my dad’s pickup when he’d pick me up from baseball practice.
As to the point at hand, I think I speak for many millions when I say, “ I’m goddamned sick and tired of this bullshit!”

These are North Carolina sheriff deputies we’re talking about. Whatever else you say about them, one thing you can be sure of is that there is no police union. First because government employee unions are forbidden by state law and second because even if they weren’t, NC sheriffs are deemed constitutional officers and every deputy is an at-will employee who serves as the sheriff’s pleasure, subject only to public policy limits on at-will employment.
