I hate Donald Trump.

I am truly waiting to read her decision on Trump’s threats to witnesses, the judge, and members of the prosecution legal team. Her response should be priceless…and that’s important because Trump will be losing a large fraction of his money shortly. Smart thinking ahead Melania…

Every day we are getting new stories of “the fat going on the fire.” May it continue to be so until we are rid of the fat. He who is “fat” is not a cryptic reference.

Trump’s lawyers must be receiving a lot of money from Trump. They are effectively destroying their reputations with the judges. The legal world is small. Most lawyers think about what will happen the day after the current case ends. There isn’t a ghost written book for each of these guys. A lot of them will want to practice law after Trump’s cases end.

Every time I see Trump’s legal teams I believe he is still choosing people based on whether they look the part and not on actual knowledge or expertise. Apparently he thinks someone who looks like Josh Brolin can get the job done for him.

LOL, I actually feel a little bad for that crew. Anyone who’s filled out their own SF86 knows it’s a beast of a document. I’d rather do taxes by hand for three days.

I never went to law school but I feel like intentionally pissing off a federal judge might not get a good response. But what do I know?

I hear there is opportunity working for Big A$$ Fans, post-Trump.

And most of his attorneys are young, or young enough that they’re not planning to retire anytime soon. Maybe they’ve already been paid enough by Trump that they could retire on what he’s paid them, when combined with what they’ve already socked away – at least, most people would consider their investments enough to make for a long, comfortable retirement. But I suspect these types both want to live luxuriously and crave professional recognition. (I’m not thinking of Habba here, in whom I take particular interest because her father was my mother’s gastroenterologist, whom I got to know a bit in the 1990’s and early 2000’s :slightly_smiling_face:. I have no idea what makes her tick.) Maybe they anticipate being hired by the numerous organizations that blanket the right-wing map.

Paul Krugman very aptly named that as wingnut welfare.

I could be way off base here, but that seems like a distinct unlikelihood.

Aileen Cannon just overruled Chutkan.

I’m hoping the judge doesn’t wimp out as so many before her have done.

TIFG needs to understand that his day in the sun of bullying and threatening are over and there is a penalty for bad behavior. A big penalty. No more.

Let’s not forget the sycophancy factor. He also keeps people around him so as to have constant ass-kissers praising him whenever he feels insecure.

I’m assuming that, by now, most of his lawyers have required an big fat fee upfront.

I also hope that Judge Chutkan doesn’t wimp out.
The useless delay of two weeks before the October 16th hearing is not a good sign.

I couldn’t take my eyes off her as she constantly posed her new lips. It was weird; like she seemed to be practicing looking like a waif (when she was actually thinking it was sexy, or sultry, or…I don’t know…stupid).

What has one judge to do with the other?

I don’t remember it being that bad, and they are lawyers so they should be used to filling out documents, they also have had way more than enough time.
